On April 20, 2026, Leica, the international premium camera brand, and Gpixel, a global leader in high-performance CMOS image sensors and a MaHui portfolio company, announced a new chapter in their strategic partnership.
This collaboration will combine Leica's decades of expertise in high-end imaging with Gpixel's leading CMOS image sensor design capabilities to develop a custom high-performance CMOS image sensor chip for next-generation Leica cameras. The chip will deliver significant improvements in image quality, dynamic range, color accuracy, and low-light performance — pushing the boundaries of digital photography technology.
