Recently, the National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China issued an announcement: COVID-19 has been renamed to Novel Coronavirus Infection. With the approval of the State Council, starting January 8, 2023, the Category A infectious disease prevention and control measures for Novel Coronavirus Infection under the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Treatment of Infectious Diseases will be lifted; Novel Coronavirus Infection will no longer be managed as a quarantinable infectious disease under the Law of the People's Republic of China on Frontier Health and Quarantine.

The National Immigration Administration will optimize immigration management policies starting January 8, 2023, including orderly resumption of processing and approving ordinary passport applications for Chinese citizens traveling abroad for tourism and visiting friends, and resuming processing of travel and business endorsements for mainland residents visiting Hong Kong.

Local governments across provinces and cities are also actively promoting economic recovery — from multiple cities in Zhejiang chartering flights to organize companies for overseas market expansion, to governments in Sichuan, Jiangsu, and other provinces leading delegations to Europe... It is reported that there are already 20 economic and trade delegations from across the country going abroad.

Starting January 5, 2023, U.S. time, passengers aged two and above flying from mainland China, Hong Kong, or Macau to the United States need to take a COVID-19 test no more than two days before departure and show a "negative test certificate" to the airline before boarding. COVID-19 testing methods can be PCR tests, so-called "nucleic acid tests"; or antigen self-tests conducted through telehealth services.
Passengers who tested positive more than 10 days before flight departure can provide recovery documentation in lieu of a negative test result.

II. Visa Application Materials and Process

Type: Ten-year visitor visa (B-2)
Requirements:

To apply for a B-1/B-2 visa, you must demonstrate to the consular officer that you meet the visa application conditions specified in the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) of the United States. Under Section 214(b) of the INA, all B-1/B-2 visa applicants are presumed to be "intending immigrants."

Unless the applicant can prove that they meet the following conditions:

The purpose of travel to the United States is for a short visit, such as business/leisure/medical activities
The planned stay in the United States is limited and definite
Sufficient funds to cover all expenses during the stay in the United States
Residence outside the United States and strong social and economic ties that ensure return after the trip to the United States

Required materials:

To apply for a business/tourist visa, you should pay a $160 application fee and submit the following materials:

Nonimmigrant Visa Electronic Application (DS-160)
A valid passport for travel to the United States with a validity date at least six months beyond your intended period of stay in the United States (unless country-specific agreements provide exemptions). If more than one person is included in your passport, each person desiring a visa must submit an application.
One (1) 2 x 2 inches (5.1 cm x 5.1 cm) photo taken within the last six months.

Schengen Visa

The Uniform Schengen Visa is issued by Schengen member states to any person wishing to transit through or stay in their territory. The total duration of stay cannot exceed 90 days within any 6-month period calculated from the date of first entry into the territory of a Schengen state.
Countries accessible with a Uniform Schengen Visa include: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland.

I. Latest Entry Policies

II. Visa Application Materials and Procedures

Types:

By purpose of travel:

Type "A" denotes an Airport Transit Visa, allowing the holder to pass through the international zone of a Schengen airport without entering the Schengen area. Nationals transiting through a Schengen airport from one non-Schengen country to another must hold this visa.
Type "C" denotes a Short-Stay Visa, allowing the holder to reside in a Schengen country for a period determined by the visa's validity. Depending on the purpose of travel, this visa category includes the following forms:
- Single-entry visa: the holder may enter a Schengen country once within a specified period. Once you leave the Schengen country you entered, the visa expires even if the permitted duration of stay has not been exhausted.
- Double-entry visa: subject to the same conditions as above, but the holder may enter a Schengen country twice. This means you may enter, leave, and re-enter within the visa's validity period. The visa expires upon your second departure.
- Multiple-entry visa: the holder may enter and exit Schengen countries freely. However, total stay must not exceed 90 days within any 180-day period calculated from the date of first entry from a non-Schengen member state.

Submission Process:

If visiting one Schengen country only, apply at the embassy/consulate of that specific country. If visiting two or more Schengen countries, applicants are strongly advised to apply at the embassy/consulate of the country where they will spend the longest period (the "main destination"). If no main destination exists and you will visit several Schengen countries equally, apply at the embassy/consulate of the first country of entry in your itinerary.
Applicants are strongly advised to apply approximately 6 weeks before departure to ensure timely processing.

I. Latest Entry Policies

On December 16, the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency added China to its list of "quarantine inspection priority countries." While travelers with temperatures exceeding 37.5°C are generally classified as symptomatic, the threshold for priority quarantine screening is 37.3°C.
Arrivals from priority countries with temperatures exceeding 37.3°C must undergo PCR testing, along with their traveling companions.
Korean health authorities will flexibly adjust this list weekly based on factors including imported case numbers, domestic confirmed cases, and trends in inbound/outbound travelers.

II. Visa Application Materials and Procedures

Types: Five-year multiple entry (C-3-9) or single entry
Required Documents:

I. Latest Entry Policies

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida announced new quarantine measures for travelers from China. Effective December 30, travelers with a travel history to China within the previous 7 days will undergo testing upon arrival in Japan. Those testing positive will in principle be subject to 7-day isolation.
The Japanese government stated it will adjust these measures based on changes in China's epidemic situation.

II. Visa Application Materials and Procedures

According to Japanese government regulations, all visas except diplomatic visas—including individual tourist visas—do not accept personal applications and must be processed through institutions designated by Japanese embassies and consulates in China.

Types:

Individual single-entry tourist visa; multiple-entry tourist visa for Okinawa and six Tohoku prefectures; multiple-entry tourist visa for persons with sufficient financial capacity; multiple-entry visa for persons with considerably high income.

Application Conditions:

The applicant holds a valid passport and possesses the right and qualification to return to or re-enter their country of residence.

Entry Visa: Chinese citizens holding private ordinary passports must obtain an entry visa in advance. Chinese citizens holding diplomatic, service, or public service passports are visa-exempt for stays not exceeding 30 days; for stays exceeding 30 days, or for purposes of work, study, or any profit-making activity, visas or relevant permits must be applied for in accordance with Singapore government regulations.

96-Hour Visa-Free Transit Facility:

Effective January 28, 2019, Chinese citizens traveling to/from a third country (region) may transit through Singapore visa-free for up to 96 hours. Conditions:
Passport valid for at least 6 months;
Confirmed onward flight or ferry ticket departing within 96 hours (calculated from 00:00 on the day following entry);
Valid visa issued by one of the following countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Germany, or Switzerland. The visa must have at least 1 month validity remaining upon entry into Singapore;
If traveling with a single-entry visa from the above countries and the visa was used to enter that country, the return trip may also qualify for visa-free transit through Singapore, provided the itinerary proceeds directly from the visa-issuing country to Singapore and the onward destination is China.

Electronic Travel Registration and Information (eNTRI): An online registration system designed to facilitate direct travel from China to Malaysia. Applicants may apply directly online, submit electronic application materials, and after online payment print the entry document (eNTRI registration information) for entry. eNTRI is available to Chinese citizens only, for single use, and requires a printed return or onward ticket to a third country. Registration is valid for 3 months; stay is limited to 15 days, non-extendable. Re-application is permitted only after 45 days of departure. Due to COVID-19, the Malaysian government has currently suspended the eNTRI visa-free policy for Chinese citizens.

Required Documents:

Present a signed, dated visa application form.
Provide two recent photographs (passport-size, white background).
Provide passport or travel document: validity must exceed six months; at least two blank visa pages.
Confirmed purchased air tickets to and from Malaysia; confirmed hotel booking/accommodation proof; travel itinerary for Malaysia, accompanied by a letter explaining the purpose of travel to Malaysia.

Since April 2016, mainland Chinese residents entering Indonesia through 29 international airports including Jakarta, Bali, Medan, and Surabaya, or through 88 seaports including SRI BINTAN PURA, BATAM CENTER, SEKUPANG, and TANJUNG UBAN, as well as 7 border checkpoints, are eligible for visa-free entry for stays not exceeding 30 days. This applies to short-term visits for tourism, family visits, social and art and cultural activities (excluding press interviews), government affairs, lectures or seminars, international exhibitions, meetings held by headquarters or branches located in Indonesia, and transit to third countries. The visa-free status cannot be extended or converted to another type of residence permit after entry.

Tourist and visit visas allow stays of 30 or 90 days. Since January 16, 2018, the mutual visa exemption arrangement between the Chinese and UAE governments has taken effect. Chinese citizens holding diplomatic passports, service passports, public affairs passports, and ordinary passports may enter the UAE visa-free for tourism, visits, family visits, business, or transit, with a stay of up to 30 days, and may apply for a paid extension once through UAE immigration authorities. Those intending to enter the UAE for work, settlement, news reporting, or other activities requiring prior approval from the relevant UAE authorities should complete the necessary procedures before entry.

Travelers are not required to present a negative nucleic acid test or rapid antigen test result. There is no need to pre-register for Qatar's health code mobile app, Ehteraz, before entry. COVID-19 vaccination is not mandatory, though vaccination against COVID-19 and influenza is recommended prior to arrival.

Since December 21, 2018, Chinese citizens holding valid Chinese diplomatic, service, public affairs, or ordinary passports may enter Qatar visa-free for stays not exceeding 30 days.
