Shuang Liu, CEO of Senmu Leishi, was born in 1994 and is currently pursuing a PhD in Electrical Engineering at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. In his senior year of college, Liu founded his own power supply design studio, helping external power companies with design work and earning his "first bucket of gold." During his master's program in 2017, he identified a critical pain point in the power supply industry: its highly customized nature and excessive reliance on R&D. He officially founded Senmu Leishi, drawing inspiration from hardware-in-the-loop simulation equipment to tackle the problem of non-standard power supply customization through "controller standardization." As the first company in the world, to our knowledge, to develop standardized digital power supply controllers, Liu's leap of faith is brimming with ambition and boldness. Yet, grounded in the traditional power supply industry, he also possesses a sophistication and clarity that belies his age. What's it like to start a business while still in school?
