Code Moment | Keyi Tech Announces Completion of New Funding Round
Continuing to explore more possibilities for consumer robots to enter households.
#MaKe Key Updates from Source Code Capital and MaHui Members

Recently, MaHui member and consumer robotics company Keyi Tech completed a new funding round led by global consumer electronics company Anker, with existing investors BlueRun Ventures, Shunwei Capital, and Xiaomi participating, and YiBai Capital continuing to serve as exclusive financial advisor. The company had previously received investments from Source Code Capital, Xiaomi, Shunwei Capital, and Pine VC.

Founded in 2014, Keyi Tech is a consumer robotics company dedicated to building robots for the home. The company applies industrial-grade control algorithms to consumer robotics products. Its debut product, ClicBot — a programmable modular robotics kit — successfully integrates control technology, sensing, and AI into artistic design, creating a delightful smart toy for children. Since its launch one year ago, the product has won over consumers from numerous countries and regions. Leveraging its modular robotics system, Keyi Tech has also built a community platform where users of different ages and locations create and share content. ClicBot offers expansive, highly randomized gameplay that becomes more engaging as players gain experience.
Currently, ClicBot users span 82 countries and regions, with 99% of new platform content created by users. Novel pet robots, utility life scenarios, and more continue to refresh the modular robotics play experience. This user-generated "UGC" robot content has already fulfilled ClicBot's product vision of "the robot you can never finish playing with."
In the community, users create over 10,000 pieces of content monthly, attracting professional ClicBot content developers who have each produced more than 200 pieces on average. This rapid growth shows ClicBot is gradually becoming the App Store equivalent for robots.
Going forward, ClicBot's hardware and software infrastructure will grow more powerful, with more modules, more sensing capabilities, and greater intelligence. The company will continue to push forward in consumer home robotics, creating more emotionally resonant robot products.

The world's first ClicBot flagship store opened in late March 2022, located on the first floor of the North Zone of Beijing's CBD Guomao Mall, covering 125 square meters. The store design was crafted by a Finnish design team, drawing inspiration from sculpture park concepts to artfully blend technology and art.

Previously, renowned German magician Simon Pierro brought ClicBot onto the American talk show Ellen Show for a spectacular robot magic performance to audiences worldwide.

Professor Mi Haipeng from Tsinghua University's Academy of Arts & Design also used ClicBot in a creative workshop combining art and robotics for his students, interpreting robot aesthetics. Fifteen undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students from the Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts designed six distinct robot characters with ClicBot and presented a film telling the story of these six characters.
