Jieti Medical Closes 500 Million Yuan Strategic Round; Source Code Capital Co-Led Previous Round
Source Code Capital continued to follow on in this round as an existing shareholder. In the previous round, Source Code Capital was a co-lead investor.

Recently, MaHui portfolio company Jieti Medical (full name: Shanghai Jieti Medical Technology Co., Ltd.) announced the completion of a 500 million yuan strategic funding round, led by Alibaba with follow-on investment from SDIC Unity Capital. Existing shareholders including Tencent, Yuanlai Capital, Aobo Capital, Yuanhe Origin, Qiming Venture Partners, Lilly Asia Ventures, Source Code Capital, and SSCI Leading Fund also continued to participate, with Qifeng Capital serving as exclusive financial advisor.
In the previous round, Source Code Capital and SSCI Leading Fund were co-lead investors. Notably, Jieti Medical has raised over 1.1 billion yuan in total within the past year, making it the first company in this sector for both Alibaba and Tencent to invest in.

Full Speed Ahead: Large-Scale Registration Clinical Trials and Diversified Product Pipeline Rollout to Begin This Year
With this significant capital injection, Jieti Medical has demonstrated strong momentum in both technical breakthroughs and clinical advancement. Following three successful brain-computer interface (BCI) clinical trials completed last year, the company's clinical progress has continued to accelerate: in early 2026, using its self-developed surgical robot, Jieti Medical successfully completed the clinical implantation of its WRS02 — a 256-channel wireless high-throughput invasive BCI system intended for registration — and achieved effective validation of brain-controlled interaction functionality. This represents not only a technical leap for Jieti Medical, but also China's first 256-channel invasive BCI clinical trial, marking a revolutionary step forward for the country in high-performance invasive BCI. The system is also currently the only invasive BCI product in China approved for the National Medical Products Administration's "green channel" for innovative medical devices.
Building on this success, Jieti Medical is now preparing for more ambitious clinical deployment. The company plans to launch large-scale multi-center registration clinical trials in mid-2026, with approximately 40 patient enrollments and implantation surgeries to be completed within the year. By the end of 2026, Jieti Medical's total number of clinical implants is expected to approach or even surpass the current clinical trial volume of Elon Musk's Neuralink (approximately 21 cases to date), signaling that Chinese BCI companies are making a run at the global leader position in commercialization and clinical deployment.
While accelerating the clinical rollout of its "brain control" products, Jieti Medical is actively expanding its product portfolio in the neuromodulation space.
Leveraging its globally leading ultra-flexible microelectrode technology — which matches or exceeds Neuralink's performance on core metrics such as miniaturization and flexibility — Jieti Medical has successfully developed a closed-loop ultra-low-damage deep brain stimulation system. This system not only won first place in the 2025 National Disruptive Technology Innovation Competition's BCI Systems Championship, but has also completed four clinical research implantation surgeries with validated modulation functionality. Clinical trials are planned for 2027, offering disruptive treatment options for patients with Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, and other conditions — further underscoring the company's comprehensive strategic value in the global BCI landscape.

Internet and Tech Giants Enter the Fray: Positioning for the Next Generation of Human-Machine Interaction at the Interface Level
The rapid development of the BCI industry is inseparable from the convergence of underlying hardcore technologies.
Jieti Medical founder Xue Li expressed gratitude for the steadfast support of early shareholders along the journey, noting Tencent's continued commitment as a core strategic investor, and warmly welcoming Alibaba and SDIC Unity Capital to this round. The deep involvement of internet and tech "giants" carries milestone significance: "Brain-computer interfaces are not just a cutting-edge medical technology — they represent the ultimate fusion of life sciences and information technology. The substantial resources that major tech companies have built up in multimodal large models, computing infrastructure, intelligent hardware, and ecosystem deployment can be deeply integrated with Jieti Medical's globally leading BCI underlying hardware capabilities and clinical translation experience. This powerful combination will jointly build a new generation of intelligent BCI systems and a rich ecosystem of frontier applications. This is not only support for medical innovation, but also strategic positioning for the next generation of human-machine interaction at the foundational level."
Meanwhile, closely aligned with the national "15th Five-Year" plan's emphasis on future industries, the significant participation of "national team" capital through SDIC Unity Capital provides not only solid strategic backing for the company's development, but also marks Jieti Medical's full emergence as a core innovative force within China's national BCI strategic layout.
