MaKe | MaHui Member "LiblibAI" Announces Hundreds of Millions of RMB in Funding, Will Continue Increasing Creator Incentives and R&D Investment

Accelerating the Buildout of Creative Infrastructure for the AI Era

AI image generation platform LiblibAI has closed four funding rounds in just one year. The company announced today that, following the multi-hundred-million-yuan round disclosed in July 2024, it has secured another multi-hundred-million-yuan round — a blistering pace that sets a new record for fundraising speed in China's AI application sector. The latest two rounds were led by Zhence Capital and Shunwei Capital, with existing shareholders including Future Capital making outsized follow-on investments. Giant Network joined as a strategic corporate investor in this round.

This financing further cements LiblibAI's leading position in AI image generation. The proceeds will be directed toward creator ecosystem development and technology R&D, accelerating the build-out of creative infrastructure for the AI era and enhancing the platform's technical capabilities and user experience. At a critical juncture where generative AI is entering a phase of value validation, LiblibAI has earned renewed market recognition through its innovative diversified monetization model and steady user growth. This funding round not only breaks the domestic speed record for AI application fundraising, but also signals strong market endorsement of its "AI-native workflow reconstruction" strategy.

Founded in May 2023, LiblibAI is dedicated to AI content creation and sharing, with the goal of fundamentally transforming how designers, illustrators, and self-media creators work — becoming a new AI-driven productive force in the creative content industry. Through its "open-source model ecosystem + modular tool flow" architecture, LiblibAI democratizes professional-grade AI capabilities for mass creative scenarios. To date, its model and image creators have surpassed 20 million, with daily creative interactions in the millions. Users have independently trained over 500,000 original AI models and workflows, with cumulative image generation exceeding 500 million. LiblibAI continues advancing toward becoming the world's largest AI content creation and consumption platform. Meanwhile, the company has provided professional AI image solutions for enterprise clients including Wondershare Technology Group Co., Ltd, G-bits, Tmall Campus, and Tsinghua University, building out a complete ecosystem covering AI content creation, sharing, copyright, and sales.

Source Code Capital is a longstanding shareholder, having backed the company continuously since the angel round through two subsequent rounds. Lulin Li, Vice President at Source Code Capital, noted that the Liblib team wields "first principles" as a blade to carve out an innovative path amid the AI wave — their community-rooted insights, coupled with agile model iteration, align closely with Source Code's ethos of "infinite inward, infinite outward." She expressed hope to continue working with the company, "as cutting and polishing, as carving and grinding," to advance the AI creation industry.

While continuing to deepen its presence, LiblibAI will further strengthen collaboration with creators and developers, drive continuous technological innovation, and push for global platform expansion. As a technology company committed to empowering creation, LiblibAI is seeking more talented individuals to join the team and collectively witness the future of the creative industry in the AI era.
