MaHui Member LibLibAI Raises $130 Million in Funding; Existing Investor Source Code Capital Continues to Increase Stake
The Largest Single Funding Round in China's AI Application Sector in 2025

In 2025, as AI applications accelerate, MaHui member AI application company LibLibAI announced the completion of a $130 million Series B funding round, jointly led by HSG, CMC Capital, and a strategic investor. Existing shareholders Source Code Capital, Shunwei Capital, and Future Capital significantly increased their stakes. Source Code Capital co-led the company's angel round.
This marks the largest funding round in China's AI application sector to date this year, signaling that investment heat is shifting from foundational models to the application layer. As large models increasingly become a game for a handful of top players, capital is refocusing on AI platforms that can actually deploy multimodal capabilities in creative, production, and consumption scenarios.
Founded in late 2023, LibLibAI has grown through the explosion of open-source visual creation to become China's largest multimodal model and creator community. The platform integrates image, video, 3D, and LoRA training capabilities, covering a complete AI workflow from inspiration generation and visual design to dynamic video production. It has incubated over 20 million AI creators across professional visual scenarios including illustration, photography, e-commerce, posters, and IP.

Against the backdrop of gradually converging AI foundation models, LibLibAI has distinguished itself through a "tool integration + community ecosystem" strategy. The platform not only aggregates leading global open- and closed-source video and image generation models, but has also cultivated a unique model-scenario-creator co-creation ecosystem through lightweight model training and creator incentive mechanisms.
In October 2025, LibLibAI released version 2.0, upgrading from an "aggregation tool" to an "AI professional creation studio," strengthening video generation capabilities with multi-model generation and professional-grade effects templates, enabling an end-to-end experience from inspiration to finished piece — setting a new standard for AI video production.

Following this funding round, LibLibAI will accelerate its global expansion to build a multimodal content ecosystem co-created by global creators. As a technology company dedicated to empowering creation, LibLibAI is seeking more talented individuals to join the team and witness the future of the creative industry in the AI era.
A Source Code Capital investor commented: "When we made our first investment in LibLib in the spring of 2023, it was a pivotal moment as generative AI was rapidly taking off globally. The LibLib team had already keenly identified the 'main theme' of visual AI's development — from model communities then to today's all-encompassing 'one-stop AI design studio.' They have steadily iterated along the technology curve, selecting the best models at each stage, connecting with a rich community ecosystem, and refining more accessible, more native, and more controllable full-modality AI design solutions — making 'generation better, editing smarter,' constantly pushing the barrier to realizing inspiration toward zero. All of this stems from a team with both strategic resolve and exceptional execution. AI evolves at a dizzying pace, yet the LibLib team excels at grasping the principal contradiction, making decisive trade-offs, and collaborating in sync — keeping the organization's learning curve in step with the industry. Source Code Capital has long supported and accompanied innovative AI+ enterprises. Our increased stake in LibLib's new round reflects our recognition of the company's past choices and, more importantly, our vote of confidence in their long-termism. We look forward to LibLib continuing to make the 'beauty' of creation more within reach, truly empowering every creator!"
