Galaxy Universal has made significant progress in scaling robot deployments across smart retail, industrial, and healthcare and elderly care scenarios.

In June 2025, MaHui member Galaxy Universal formally completed a new funding round of RMB 1.1 billion led by CATL and Puquan Capital, bringing its total raised to over RMB 2.4 billion in two years. This round attracted top-tier investors including CATL's corporate strategic investment arm, Puquan Capital, China Development Bank's Guokai Science and Technology Innovation, Beijing Robotics Industry Fund, and GGV Capital.

Against the backdrop of embodied intelligence's elevation to national strategy, the participation of national-level investment platforms, Beijing municipal investment vehicles, and internationally renowned institutions underscores Galaxy Universal's leading technical strength in embodied foundation-model robotics, its strategic positioning in the capital's core industries, and the market's strong recognition of its global growth potential.

The addition of strategic investor CATL in this round also opens further avenues for strategic synergy in the application and scaling of Galaxy Universal's embodied intelligence foundation models.

Pioneering a New Global Paradigm for Embodied Intelligence

Since its founding, Galaxy Universal has pioneered a technical paradigm of pre-training on synthetic simulation action datasets and post-training on real-world data, driving rapid iteration of global embodied foundation-model technology. Its breakthrough achievements include:

World-leading embodied foundation model: In January 2025, the company became the first to launch GraspVLA, the world's first end-to-end embodied foundation model pre-trained on billion-scale synthetic simulation action data. This model achieved a breakthrough as the world's first to deliver zero-shot generalization capability through pre-training alone;

New breakthroughs in retail-scenario commercial models: The company released GroceryVLA, the world's first end-to-end model designed for retail commercialization. This model addresses two critical challenges in complex retail environments:

Intelligent grasping with full coverage: In shelf scenarios with diverse, densely stacked products, it can precisely grasp items across all categories — soft bags, hard boxes, bottles, glass containers, plastic packaging — without individual parameter tuning for each product type.

High-efficiency scene adaptation: The model features strong autonomous decision-making capabilities (such as dynamically selecting optimal manipulation targets) and excellent anti-interference performance (handling unexpected product displacement or toppling). Most importantly, deployment is extremely convenient with zero scene pre-collection requirements, dramatically reducing setup time.

Product-grade navigation model deployment: Beyond manipulation models, the company also launched TrackVLA, a product-grade end-to-end navigation foundation model with capabilities covering:

Pure visual environment perception and natural language instruction understanding; zero-shot generalization in complex scenarios; high-dynamic target tracking: Precisely tracking human or animal targets in dense crowds, supporting dynamic target switching, and rapidly reacquiring targets based on spatial intelligence and foundation-model reasoning after unexpected loss; high environmental robustness: Maintaining stable and reliable following performance in unmapped novel environments such as new shopping malls, under varying lighting conditions, or with obstacle interference.

Technology That Lands Is Good Technology

In scaling robotic applications, Galaxy Universal has made significant progress in smart retail, industrial, and healthcare scenarios.

This March, Galaxy Universal unveiled the world's first humanoid robot smart retail solution, deploying its wheeled dual-arm robot Galbot to perform fully automated end-to-end processes including inventory checking, restocking, picking, delivery, and packing across 5,000 product SKUs, 6,000 shelf slots, and over 10,000 individual items in a 50-square-meter unmanned store. Deployment at a new store location takes just one day. Nearly ten stores in Beijing have already been deployed and are operating routinely, with hundreds of stores nationwide expected to come online within the year.

Meanwhile, Galaxy Universal continues to deepen its partnerships in the automotive industry. On the 17th of this month, the company announced a joint venture with Boyuan Capital, the investment arm of global industrial giant Bosch Group, and signed a tripartite strategic memorandum with Bosch China and Boyuan Capital. This collaboration will focus on industrial manufacturing scenarios, jointly advancing the commercial application exploration and global market deployment of embodied intelligent robots. This marks a critical step for Galaxy Universal in translating frontier technology into actual productive forces, particularly in the demanding industrial sector.
