MaHui Member KH Automotive Technologies Co., Ltd. Enters Audi Global Supply Chain, Air Suspension Rated A-Level
Konghui has taken a solid step toward its strategic international expansion.

On March 9, MaHui member KH Automotive Technologies Co., Ltd. celebrated another proud milestone — receiving a nomination letter from Audi's headquarters to supply air springs for two of its top-tier global all-electric SUV models. This marks KH Automotive's formal entry into Audi's global supply chain as a core supplier in the air suspension domain.

Project Development Journey
Audi, the renowned German automaker headquartered in Ingolstadt, boasts a 117-year legacy of excellence. Its exacting standards for product quality and supplier capability are well known throughout the automotive industry; over the years, numerous manufacturers worldwide have tried and failed to qualify as Audi suppliers.
KH Automotive's path to securing the Audi nomination was an 18-month journey filled with challenges:
In September 2024, KH Automotive formally took on the design and development of rear air springs for Audi's two highest-tier all-electric SUV models. After several iterations, precision-woven bellows were identified as the only solution capable of meeting the product's design requirements. KH Automotive completed the air spring structural design in March 2025, and three months later finished prototyping sample parts with precision-woven bellows. In July of that year, the sample air springs arrived in Neustadt, Bavaria, Germany, where Audi, KH Automotive, and a third-party service company launched joint chassis tuning. KH Automotive's samples earned the highest rating (Grade A) for their outstanding performance. In September, KH Automotive's lab completed bench durability testing of the samples. By March 2026, KH Automotive formally received the nomination letter from Audi headquarters.

Sources indicate that before engaging with KH Automotive, Audi's technical team had never evaluated or tested air springs produced by a Chinese manufacturer. But last July, shortly after testing and tuning began in Neustadt, Audi engineers were in for a surprise. What had previously required at least two weeks of tuning work was accomplished in under a week, yielding an exceptionally ideal ride state. The sample vehicle's outstanding comfort performance prompted Audi's tuning lead Kamil to exclaim, "Das war erstaunlich gut!" (That was astonishingly good!)
Subsequently, Audi awarded KH Automotive's air springs its highest rating — A Rating.

Years of Focused R&D, Technical Excellence
In recent years, China's passenger vehicle air suspension industry has begun drawing attention from international automakers. As a segment leader with cumulative deliveries exceeding 1.25 million air springs and mature precision-woven bellows capabilities, KH Automotive Technologies Co., Ltd. naturally commanded significant interest.
European automakers with extensive air suspension experience well understand that precision-woven bellows deliver performance improvements across multiple dimensions for air springs, particularly in Harshness (vibration roughness). Given that this project represented the highest tier among all-electric models, Audi's technical division set requirements for several key air suspension performance metrics far above those for other vehicles — including this Harshness performance.
Harshness in suspension systems reflects the ability to filter out fine road surface irregularities and harsh impacts. Strong Harshness performance allows occupants to perceive that many subtle vibrations and jitters from the road have been filtered away, making the vehicle feel smoother, softer, and more comfortable — while also reducing fatigue during extended drives to some degree.
Based on this understanding of Harshness and the vehicle's positioning needs, Audi mandated that KH Automotive must deliver using precision-woven bellows.
The results proved that KH Automotive's air springs earning an A Rating from German experts on the very first tuning cycle owed much to its self-developed precision-woven bellows. Unlike traditional processes with their coarse process controls, precision weaving enables exact control over cord placement and rubber thickness, allowing air spring engineers to harness every gram of rubber and every cord to their full potential through proper bellows and air spring design — achieving performance targets precisely, without the recurring problem of some metrics overshooting while others fall short.

Beyond conventional air spring stiffness adjustment methods, KH Automotive's R&D team also focuses on dynamic stiffness response, with core capabilities to optimize vibration comfort for different vehicle models — providing powerful engineering support for dynamic performance matching. These combined capabilities laid the critical foundation for meeting the stringent Harshness requirements.

A Solid Step Toward Global Expansion
Successfully developing air springs for Audi's highest-tier global all-electric SUV models has allowed KH Automotive Technologies Co., Ltd. to formally enter the global supply chain of a leading international automaker on the strength of its deep technical expertise, while also marking a solid step forward in the company's strategic push toward international expansion. As subsequent exchanges and collaborations with more international automakers unfold across multiple products, KH Automotive's electronically controlled suspension products will face vast global opportunities — positioned for growth and great promise.
