WAIC Meetup | July 17 Evening: Real Talk with 100 Fellow AI Travelers
This is a happy hour built for AI folks — come grab a drink.

I spent the entire opening day of WAIC tracking trends, touring exhibition booths, and sitting through forums. But the conversations actually worth continuing tend to happen after hours — over a drink at the bar, with the right person. On the evening of July 17, from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM, at AGI Bar in Shanghai, Source Code Capital is joining forces with MaHui portfolio company TTC, along with partners including Amazon Web Services, Silicon Star, and Motphys, to host a WAIC After Hours event: "Tonight's API."
This is a connection space built for fellow AI travelers. We're expecting around 100 people, and we're hoping one drink is enough time to spark deeper connections beyond the conference floor. WAIC is packed with events, but most of them involve sitting and listening. This one is different: no drawn-out panels, no endless slides. We're doing exactly one thing — bringing the right people together. We're setting up a Connection Wall on-site where attendees can write down what they need and what they can offer:
- I'm looking for: customers, investors, application scenarios, technical partners, resources for going global, fellow Physical AI travelers...
- I can offer: product experience, industry resources, technical judgment, capital perspective, overseas market insights, startup post-mortems...
If you don't know where to find the person you're looking for, you can call on a "matchmaker" on-site to help. Complete three meaningful connections guided by a matchmaker, and you'll receive a special "surprise" we've prepared. We're aiming for an event that skips the small talk and gets straight to the point.
Whether you're an AI founder, a technologist, product person, service provider, or investor in the AI space — or even someone who just dove headfirst into AI and can't get enough — if you're in this industry, you're welcome to apply. Investors from Source Code Capital and AI portfolio companies will also be on-site. Seats are limited, first come first served — scan the QR code on the poster below to apply. Our team will reach out once your application is approved.
