On November 16, 2016, the third World Internet Conference opened in Wuzhen, Zhejiang. More than 300 well-known domestic and international internet companies including Microsoft, IBM, Alibaba, Tencent, and Baidu participated in this year's conference, with new products and technologies from over 100 global companies making their debut in Wuzhen.

Jack Ma, chairman of Alibaba, said at the conference: "In the future, computing power will become productivity, and data will become a means of production. I hope everyone can make full use of technological capabilities, manage data well, and truly create something of value to others — to help more people create unique value for the ideals in their hearts."

Wang Yuechun, editor-in-chief of Beijing News, released the 2016 China Maker White Paper and announced the 2016 Top 30 Emerging Investment Institutions list — Source Code Capital was named one of the "2016 Top 30 Emerging Investment Institutions."

This list was released by Beijing News, based on quantitative criteria from ChinaVenture covering 2015-2016 investment case volume and amount, exit case volume and amount, and performance, combined with qualitative assessments through expert panel scoring, support rate surveys, and online voting to select the 2016 Top 30 Emerging Investment Institutions in China.
