Exploring a New Chapter in Low-Altitude Logistics and Smart City Development

Xunyi Technology recently completed a strategic funding round, with exclusive investment from Beijing China Mobile Digital New Economy Industry Fund, a fund under China Mobile. Following the investment, both parties will work together to drive innovation in the low-altitude economy and inject new momentum into smart city development.

Xunyi Technology is dedicated to building urban air mobility networks. The company independently designs and develops logistics drones, unmanned stations, and cloud-based UTM and dispatch systems that operate seamlessly in coordination, providing cities with safe and rapid automated air cargo services.

In October 2019, Xunyi obtained the world's first approval letter for urban drone logistics trial operations, and maintains the world's leading record for commercial urban flight mileage, with services covering 30 cities across China.

Unity Ventures was Xunyi's angel round investor and has continued to increase its stake in subsequent rounds, witnessing the Xunyi team's decade-long journey from scene pioneer to industry leader. We look forward to Xunyi seizing the new opportunities in the low-altitude economy, riding the momentum upward, and expanding drone applications to more scenarios.

This partnership is built upon China Mobile Beijing Fund's resource advantages and Xunyi Technology's leading technology in the drone logistics field, with comprehensive collaboration centered on low-altitude logistics and intelligent delivery. Through successful applications in practical scenarios such as medical logistics and instant delivery, both parties are exploring the optimal path for low-altitude economy development.

China Mobile Beijing Fund was jointly established by the Beijing Municipal Government and China Mobile, focusing on the digital economy and modern mobile information industry chains. The fund aligns with the development directions encouraged in Beijing's implementation plan for building a global benchmark city for the digital economy, as well as the three key areas of the mobile communications industry chain — "filling gaps, strengthening strengths, and frontier innovation." It primarily invests in growth-stage and transformation-stage enterprises, while also considering early-stage companies. In line with China Mobile's strategy in the low-altitude economy, China Mobile Beijing Fund plans to invest in and deploy across key industry chain segments including low-altitude infrastructure, low-altitude scenario operations, and low-altitude aircraft.

Practical Implementation: Low-Altitude Logistics Applications in Healthcare

Since 2023, Xunyi Technology has collaborated with multiple subsidiaries of China Mobile, leveraging 5G-A technology to enable medical low-altitude logistics. In implementations at Changzhou People's Hospital and the Third Hospital of Hebei Medical University, low-altitude routes achieved medical supply delivery within 7 minutes and blood transport within 5 minutes, significantly improving logistics efficiency and emergency rescue capabilities.

Relying on 5G-A integrated communication and sensing technology and drone management platforms, the project achieved precise flight operations and safety assurance, demonstrating the tremendous potential of smart medical logistics and providing strong support for medical resource optimization, tiered diagnosis and treatment, and emergency medical services.

Strong Partnership: Building Low-Altitude Economy Infrastructure

As a key fund under China Mobile, China Mobile Beijing Fund will help Xunyi Technology explore cooperation with China Mobile in scenarios such as low-altitude medical delivery and instant delivery.

In terms of communications, China Mobile's 5G network can provide logistics drone systems with low-latency, high-stability communication assurance. For navigation, leveraging communication infrastructure and RTK base stations can enhance navigation and positioning capabilities in complex urban scenarios. For low-altitude surveillance, China Mobile's 5G-A technology enables integrated communication and sensing, providing strong support for low-altitude safety management and infrastructure assurance for large-scale urban logistics.

Looking Ahead: Deepening Strategic Cooperation, Building Global Presence

Going forward, Xunyi Technology will work hand-in-hand with China Mobile Beijing Fund to actively explore deep collaboration with China Mobile Group and its ecosystem. Both parties plan to promote the globalization of the low-altitude economy from a broader perspective, exploring the unlimited possibilities of low-altitude logistics and smart city development.
