Haawking Closes Series B to Accelerate RISC-V DSP Chip Localization | Unity Ventures

Launching AI edge chips to empower industrial upgrading in manufacturing, new energy, embodied artificial intelligence, and other sectors.

Unity Ventures portfolio company Haawking has announced the completion of its Series B funding round, led by Yuehu Capital. The proceeds will be primarily directed toward R&D for AI edge-computing chips and industry-specific customized solutions, accelerating the domestic substitution of DSP chips.

Deep Roots in Self-Developed Technology, Building China's Chip Moat

As a leading domestic player in RISC-V architecture DSP chips, Haawking has leveraged its core R&D team to build a full-stack self-developed system spanning chip architecture design, kernel development, proprietary toolchain development, and application solution deployment.

For years, the company has focused on the pain point of domestic substitution for high-end DSP chips, breaking through overseas technological barriers. Its self-developed Haawking HX2000 series chips have achieved large-scale deployment across core sectors including AI-enabled smart home appliances, industrial control, new energy vehicles, photovoltaic energy storage, and embodied artificial intelligence, earning broad industry recognition for their high reliability and adaptability.

Launching AI Edge Chips, Crafting Solutions for Industry Scenarios

Funds raised in this round will focus on R&D for AI edge-computing chips and industry-specific customized solutions.

At the recent 2026 electronica China in Shanghai, Haawking unveiled its new AI edge-intelligence chip for the first time.

Built on Haawking's self-developed RISC-V DSP + dual-core heterogeneous architecture, the new product is deeply tailored to industrial control and edge-intelligence application demands, achieving comprehensive leadership across ultra-low power consumption, on-device AI inference, real-time compute responsiveness, and high stability. It comes with a mature, complete hardware-software integrated development kit and full development ecosystem, significantly lowering the barrier for customers to deploy AI products and enabling enterprises to rapidly complete intelligent product upgrades and domestic substitution.

Compared to traditional general-purpose chips, Haawking's AI edge chip is more tightly focused on industrial-grade edge scenarios, with broad adaptability to real-time control applications such as robotic joint motion, vehicle power systems, and smart home appliance deployment — aligning perfectly with industry trends toward industrial intelligence, equipment miniaturization, and localized compute power.

Going forward, Haawking will continue to deepen its presence in the RISC-V DSP niche, steadily increasing R&D investment, enriching its product portfolio, and crafting more market-responsive bespoke solutions for multi-industry scenarios. The company will accelerate the domestic substitution of DSP chips and continue empowering intelligent upgrades across industrial, new energy, and embodied artificial intelligence sectors.
