Unity Ventures Portfolio Robot Companies Battle for Real-World Deployment at WRC

The World Robot Conference 2025 opened and closed under Beijing's rain, but the weather did nothing to dampen the crowds. This year's exhibition featured more than 1,500 items — 900 more than last year — with over 100 new products, nearly double the previous year's count. The current fervor around robotics was made tangible throughout the event.
Multiple Unity Ventures portfolio companies exhibited, with Independent Variable Robotics, Noetix Robotics, and ULS Robotics showcasing their capabilities side by side at WRC:
- Independent Variable Robotics debuted its fully self-developed wheeled dual-arm humanoid robot "Quanta X2," demonstrating fluid operation across multiple application scenarios through a multi-robot intelligent cluster
- Noetix Robotics displayed robot products with orders surpassing 2,000 units, pushing anthropomorphism to new heights with its bionic robots
- ULS Robotics brought the company's first consumer-grade exoskeleton "VIATRIX," penetrating everyday life scenarios
Unity Ventures' investment map in robotics also covers critical upstream segments of the supply chain. The maturation of Embodied Artificial Intelligence depends on coordination across multiple key nodes:
- Numerous robot products equipped with D-Robotics' RDK computing platform appeared at WRC; D-Robotics was everywhere on the exhibition floor
- NSIC released its "NSPIC-R005N/NP + Embodied Edition" brain-body integrated embodied intelligent control system during the conference
As a window for observing industry trends, the shift in WRC's tone from "showing off technical prowess" to "competing on real-world deployment" reflects the continuous evolution of robotics' technical pathways and supply chain over the past period. While deployment in authentic scenarios still faces many challenges, the crowds packing the WRC halls are voting with their feet — the future of robotics is worth anticipating.

Independent Variable Robotics: Wheeled Humanoid Robot Debuts, "One Brain, Multiple Uses" Complex Operation Model in Action
At WRC, Independent Variable Robotics presented the technical strength and application potential of its model-plus-body approach through fluid multi-robot intelligent cluster operations across multiple real-world application scenarios.
Based on Independent Variable's self-developed end-to-end general-purpose embodied large model WALL-A, robots and robotic arms broke through task barriers, methodically completing cross-domain practical tasks on-site including cleaning and organization, handicraft production, mobile restocking, package sorting, and industrial assembly — demonstrating WALL-A's remarkable generalization capabilities.
The fully self-developed wheeled dual-arm humanoid robot "Quanta X2," launched at the conference, features up to 62 degrees of freedom across its entire body, with flexible operation and vertical workspace coverage from 0 to 2 meters, enabling seamless compatibility and collaborative operation with human living environments.
Independent Variable's goal is not merely to teach robots to complete specific functions, but to teach robots how to learn — this is the critical leap toward achieving general intelligence in robotics.

Noetix Robotics: Humanoid Robots Land Major Orders
Noetix Robotics showcased its product matrix on-site. Its bipedal humanoid robot can easily perform difficult maneuvers including consecutive front and back flips and high-speed running; its bionic humanoid robot's face and neck boast up to 32 degrees of freedom, ranking among the highest globally, capable of reproducing nearly lifelike subtle expressions.
Noetix Robotics' "Little Rascal" N2 made its name at the humanoid robot marathon. The company secured over 2,000 commercial orders in the first half of this year, with total contract value expected to exceed 100 million RMB, and delivered more than 100 humanoid robots in July, placing it in the first tier of commercialization.
From product launch to scaled orders, Noetix took less than half a year. Beyond education, research, cultural tourism, and commercial performances, the company will focus heavily on consumer-grade scenarios in the second half of the year.

ULS Robotics: Making Exoskeleton Robots as Everyday as Smartphones
ULS Robotics' booth was among the few at WRC that needed to limit visitor flow, with audiences queuing to enter. An exoskeleton is a wearable "force amplifier" that enables human-machine integration — visitors who tried on ULS's exoskeleton could immediately experience assistance and load reduction effects.
ULS brought two product series. The first is the mass-produced industrial heavy-duty exoskeleton Fit series, primarily used in special industrial fields to help users complete lifting or holding heavy objects; the other is the all-new consumer-grade exoskeleton VIATRIX series, compact and lightweight with pricing reaching the thousand-RMB level, capable of entering ordinary people's daily lives to provide assistance in hiking, running, mountaineering, and other scenarios — giving exercise an "extended range" and further expanding application boundaries.
The user base for outdoor consumer audiences is substantial. The low cost of civilian products and clarity of service scenarios both facilitate broader adoption. ULS Robotics' goal is to make exoskeleton robots as indispensable in people's lives as smartphones.

D-Robotics: RDK Becomes the Greatest Common Denominator in Robotics
Numerous products equipped with D-Robotics' RDK computing platform appeared at WRC, including Vbot Robotics, Shanghai Humanoid, Hengzhi Future, Elephant Robotics, and Luwu Intelligence. As the greatest common denominator in robotics, D-Robotics was omnipresent at the conference.

NSIC: Releases World's Highest-Computing-Power Embodied Intelligent Control System NSPIC-R007NP+
NSIC released its embodied intelligent control system NSPIC-R007NP+ during WRC, with AI computing power reaching 1,035 TFLOPs FP8 — the world's first embodied controller capable of running 32–70B edge-side VLA+VLN large models. Combined with its embodied intelligence full-stack solution, it enables efficient full-chain collaboration from perception to execution**.
The company focuses on industrial real-time operating systems, industrial soft PLC, and embodied intelligent core control technology. It has already conquered two items on China's list of 35 "chokepoint" key technologies, achieving full autonomy in both hard real-time operating systems (NECRO Qiuniu) and industrial soft PLC (NECRO SUPER STUDIO) — two core industrial foundational software systems — and has received 100% autonomous code certification from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Its products cover 60–70% of domestic humanoid robot users.
