On February 10–11, Governor Wang Weizhong led a delegation to Futian, Nanshan, and Guangming districts in Shenzhen to visit major innovation platforms and technology companies, conducting a targeted research tour on building a modern industrial system. He also extended Lunar New Year greetings to scientists, entrepreneurs, and frontline workers. Governor Wang emphasized the need to cultivate and expand emerging and future industries — including robotics, artificial intelligence, autonomous driving, low-altitude economy, biomanufacturing, and quantum technology — develop new quality productive forces in line with local conditions, go all out to create new industrial pillars, and accelerate the construction of a modern industrial system with greater global competitiveness. Meng Fanli, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee, accompanied the tour.
As an embodied intelligent robotics manufacturer, LimX Dynamics participated in this research tour. Wang Weizhong and his delegation conducted an on-site inspection of LimX Dynamics' self-developed full-size humanoid robot and its multi-modal "three-in-one" bipedal robot, TRON 1. The full-size humanoid robot successfully performed a series of stable, highly dynamic whole-body complex movements including deep squats, waist twists, and 360-degree hip-joint rotations transitioning from prone to standing positions — demonstrating breakthroughs in full-system engineering upgrades and coordinated large-range motion control across multiple joints.

During the tour, LimX Dynamics also demonstrated its fully self-developed multi-modal "three-in-one" bipedal robot TRON 1 to Wang Weizhong. TRON 1 showcased strong locomotion performance and excellent anti-interference capabilities, demonstrating remarkable stability and adaptability when responding to unexpected disturbances.
Wang Weizhong stated that breakthroughs must be accelerated in robotic brains, robotic limbs, robotic bodies, and key core components. He called for actively promoting the innovation of intelligent robots in application scenarios such as elderly care, rehabilitation, and public services, and for building new industrial pillars characterized by high technology, high growth, and large scale.
Provincial leaders Zhang Guozhi and Wang Sheng, along with Shenzhen Mayor Qin Weizhong, also participated in the research tour.
