Lxson Completes 200 Million Yuan Angel++ Round, Focusing on Consumer Embodied Intelligence Product Development | Oasis Capital

Counselor on Vitality

Lxson, an Oasis Capital angel-round portfolio company, announced on September 28 that it has closed a 200 million yuan "Angel++" funding round.

Led by Eastern Bell Capital with continued follow-on investment from existing shareholder IDG Capital, the proceeds will primarily fund R&D on core proprietary components, robot body and motion control technology, and iterative development of consciousness-bionic models — all aimed at accelerating the scaled deployment of consumer-grade embodied intelligence products.

This marks Lxson's third funding round in the nine months since its founding. To date, the company's total angel-round financing has reached nearly 500 million yuan.

Lxson founder Renjie Guo, born in 1997, entered Xi'an Jiaotong University's youth program at age 15 (majoring in energy and power engineering) and the Jinhe Center for Economic Research, then earned his master's in economics from the London School of Economics. He previously served as executive president of Dreame China, where over three years he grew annual revenue to 6 billion yuan and built a team exceeding 1,500 people. Since founding Lxson, he has combined embodied intelligence technology with his experience scaling consumer robots to nine-figure revenue, aiming to create the world's first embodied intelligence product for consumer-grade scenarios.

Lxson has built its core competitiveness around top-tier talent from day one. The team has now expanded to 90 people, with R&D staff accounting for over 80%, forming a product-oriented, highly efficient technical team. Core R&D members are graduates of leading domestic and international universities and research institutions including Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Chinese Academy of Sciences, UC Berkeley, and Carnegie Mellon University.

More notably, the team has recently attracted top talent from multiple world-class AI research institutions, continuously strengthening its capabilities in high-precision motion control, multi-modal perception fusion, and robot body structure — further reinforcing Lxson's long-term technical moat, helping build a positive flywheel in underlying technology R&D, and injecting stronger technical momentum into the innovation and iteration of consumer-grade embodied intelligence products.

Within the team, two product-line presidents and a CTO with two decades of consumer robot experience collaborate with top embodied intelligence talent, creating a rich fusion of technical development experience and academic innovation that provides a solid foundation for the company's technical breakthroughs and subsequent mass-production development in embodied intelligence.

On product deployment and scenario expansion, Lxson continues to push consumer-grade embodied intelligence products from technical concept toward real-world application. Its tracked robot W-bot (nicknamed WaWa) has appeared at two major international tech events — the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) and the World Robot Conference (WRC). With precise motion control, smooth human-robot interaction, adaptability in complex scenarios, and an approachable design, it became a viral photo spot at both exhibitions, earning wide acclaim from industry experts, partners, and media — demonstrating the company's initial exploration in consumer-grade embodied intelligence.

More breakthrough still, W-bot crossed over into sports, becoming the first robot team leader in the "Suzhou Super League" on July 20, 2025, appearing at Suzhou's home stadium — pioneering an entirely new model for embodied robots in public sports scenarios through an innovative "tech + sports" fusion. This attempt didn't just break down barriers between tech products and mass sports scenes, letting more people directly experience the appeal of embodied intelligence technology; it also opened possibilities for W-bot's collaborative application across multiple industries. Leveraging its unique combination of interactive capability and load-bearing transport capacity, W-bot has already attracted intent orders from retail, education, real estate, pet care, and other industries — and will become a participant across hundreds of sectors in the future.

Previously, the first-generation WAWA prototype kicked off market validation, making its public debut at JD.com's 618 Summer Concert on May 31, 2025, and successfully selling for 29,799 yuan at a JD.com auction event on June 3 — providing initial validation of market recognition of its product value and accumulating valuable experience for the subsequent scaled market launch of consumer-grade products.

The company's two parallel core product platforms — Z-Bot, a 60cm-tall small embodied intelligence robot with 20 degrees of freedom, and W-Bot, a tracked robot combining interactive capability with locomotive load-bearing — address the two major home-scenario needs of "indoor" and "outdoor," both progressing steadily according to plan with a highly platformized internal R&D system. To support the company's long-term high-speed iteration strategy, Lxson will further expand its product matrix to cover more diverse consumer scenarios.

From an industry development perspective, China's embodied intelligence market is showing strong growth momentum with continuously expanding global influence — particularly the consumer-grade segment, which has entered a critical acceleration phase. As a pioneer in consumer-grade embodied intelligence, Lxson has built differentiated competitive advantages through technology autonomy, product scenario-fit, and team professionalism.

Following this funding round, Lxson will further increase R&D investment, accelerate core technology iteration and product mass production, and push consumer-grade embodied intelligence from "cutting-edge technology" toward "mass consumption" — helping China's embodied intelligence industry become a global leader.

Going forward, the company will continue to uphold the values of "integrity, excellence, openness," committed to becoming the founder and long-term leader in global consumer-grade embodied intelligence products, driving the deep fusion of innovation and experience, and the deep integration of technology and humanity — bringing embodied intelligence products into more life scenarios and contributing to humanity's exploration of a broader universe.

An Oasis Capital investment lead stated: "We have long followed and remain bullish on Lxson's exploration of consumer-grade embodied intelligence." Since its founding, Lxson has demonstrated exceptional technical penetration and productization capabilities, assembling not only a highly efficient R&D-centric team but also continuously accumulating advantages in motion control, multi-modal perception, and other key technologies — building distinct differentiated competitiveness.

The appearances of its W-bot robot at multiple top-tier exhibitions and cross-industry scenarios have already demonstrated the possibility of consumer-grade embodied intelligence moving from the lab into real life. We particularly appreciate Lxson's product philosophy of deeply fusing technology with humanistic experience. Going forward, we look forward to working alongside more entrepreneurs committed to the long-term value of embodied intelligence to jointly drive the continued evolution of this field.
