MiniMax | Advancing Agent Infrastructure and AI Content Ecosystem
In April, MiniMax continued pushing forward on Agent infrastructure capabilities. The company released MMX-CLI, an Agent command-line tool that enables native access to full-modal model capabilities — including programming, video generation, voice, and music — within environments like Claude Code and OpenClaw. It also optimizes underlying mechanisms for output parsing, status codes, and asynchronous task control in automated Agent execution scenarios, improving stability for multi-task workflows.
Meanwhile, MiniMax Agent's desktop client launched two capability updates: Pocket and Computer Use, allowing users to summon the Agent directly within IM platforms like Lark, WeChat, and Slack to remotely operate their local machine and complete tasks. The Agent now has the ability to directly manipulate local graphical interfaces, accessing design software, internal systems, and system settings — environments that were previously difficult to reach via command line.
On the content ecosystem side, MiniMax appeared at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes as a global partner of the second World AI Film Festival (WAIFF 2026) and co-initiator of the China special track. LimX Dynamics | Open-Sources Engineering Foundation, Leads Guangdong Humanoid Robot Major Project
LimX Dynamics officially open-sourced FluxVLA Engine: a standardized VLA engineering foundation for embodied intelligence R&D and deployment. The framework covers the full pipeline from data processing, model training, and simulation evaluation to real-machine deployment, supporting access to mainstream VLM/VLA models, simulators, and multiple real-hardware platforms — further lowering the engineering barriers for bringing VLA from the lab to real-world scenarios.
Meanwhile, the major science and technology project under Guangdong's Key Areas R&D Program for "Intelligent Robots," led by the company, has been formally approved. LimX will collaborate with Southern University of Science and Technology, Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen), Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Guangdong University of Technology to jointly advance research on real-time perception and all-terrain locomotion control technologies for full-size humanoid robots — improving motion stability and environmental adaptability in complex real-world settings.

Spirit AI | Releases Point-VLA Research, Forms Strategic Partnership with Bosch
The Gao Yang team released Point-VLA research findings, solving the generalization problem of traditional VLA models in complex spatial descriptions by introducing visual grounding in images. This enables robots to understand tasks through a "look at the image, point to the spot" approach, achieving a 92.5% success rate on real robot tasks — nearly 3x improvement over pure-text VLA.
Early this month, Spirit AI announced the completion of a new 1 billion yuan funding round. The company has also recently formed a formal strategic partnership with Bosch China. The two sides will collaborate on robot data collection, embodied model training, industrial scenario deployment, and core component supply — jointly advancing the application of embodied intelligence in real industrial settings.

The program invited Spirit AI co-founder and Tsinghua University assistant professor Gao Yang for an in-depth conversation, discussing data, VLA, and generalization capabilities as embodied intelligence approaches its "GPT-3 moment."
At a time when embodied intelligence is rapidly becoming industry and capital consensus, the program brings the discussion back to technology itself: how real-world data can be obtained at scale, how robots can truly develop generalization capabilities, and what can genuinely drive the emergence of intelligence.
