ZhenFund Angel Project "Valhalla Technology" Closes Nearly $50 Million Funding Round
Build a Scientific AGI foundational platform for all domains.
Valhalla Technology, a leader in paradigm innovation for the AI for Science (AI4S) sector and developer of a full-modality molecular world model, announced it has completed multiple funding rounds within three months, raising nearly $50 million in total. Investors include 5Y Capital, CASSTAR, Xiang He Capital, Guofang Venture Capital, Lushi Investment, MiraclePlus, L2F LightSource Capital Entrepreneur Fund, and notable industry partners, with Lighthouse Capital serving as exclusive financial advisor. ZhenFund has been a steadfast early supporter of Valhalla Technology, backing the company since its founding.
The proceeds will primarily fund team expansion, iterative upgrades to its proprietary full-modality molecular world model, and continued full-modality wet-lab validation — further strengthening the company's full-stack technical foundation toward Scientific AGI.
Haotian Zhang, founder of Valhalla Technology, stated: "We've always believed that the overall technical path for AGI in life science runs from single-modality to multi-modality, from single-task to multi-task. For molecular design, a full-modality model isn't simply putting different molecular types into one model — we want to start from fundamental physical laws and build a unified technical system that can transcend molecular modalities and bridge computation with experimentation."

Trained under 2024 Nobel Prize in Chemistry laureate Professor David Baker, Haotian Zhang hails from the Baker Lab — widely regarded as the "West Point" of global AI protein design, where the Rosetta platform and the RFDiffusion generative model were born.
Breaking from the AIDD industry's long-standing inertia of single-modality R&D, Zhang was the first to cross these boundaries, proposing and constructing an entirely new paradigm: "full-modality molecular design." The core breakthrough lies in starting from the fundamental physics of molecules, describing all intermolecular interactions within a unified physical framework — thereby solving the technical challenge of characterizing both commonalities and differences across molecular modalities.
Building on this original approach, the company is iteratively developing its next-generation multimodal generative molecular world model — the AlloDesign system — aimed at enabling de novo design and structural optimization of arbitrary combinations across five molecular modalities: proteins, DNA, RNA, small molecules, and ions, covering the full spectrum of molecular R&D needs.
The AlloDesign system has already achieved initial progress in cyclic peptide design. Through multimodal hybrid training, stochastic atomization, and topological conditional control techniques, the model has delivered leading performance on benchmark tasks for linear peptides and head-to-tail amide-bonded cyclic peptides, and has further extended to de novo design of complex topologies including disulfide cyclization, isopeptide cyclization, and bridged rings. These advances demonstrate that AlloDesign has developed preliminary unified modeling capabilities across different cyclization modes and chemical connection types, laying groundwork for exploring complex cyclic peptide chemical spaces that traditional methods struggle to reach.
On the commercialization front, Valhalla Technology will initially target drug discovery as its first application scenario, offering global MNCs and biotechs two service categories: custom target molecule R&D and industrial-grade model licensing — significantly shortening early-stage drug development timelines. In the medium to long term, the company will build a self-iterating Scientific AGI infrastructure, extending its technical capabilities to additional scientific domains and deploying self-driving intelligent laboratories to create a virtual scientist system capable of independent scientific reasoning and experimental iteration — establishing a true Scientific AGI foundational platform across all domains.
Haotian Zhang, founder of Valhalla Technology, stated: "We will continue investing in foundational models, high-throughput experimental platforms, and top-tier talent to accelerate AlloDesign's journey from frontier research to real-world R&D scenarios."
Going forward, ZhenFund will continue its unwavering support for the team, looking forward to the company's realization of large-scale deployment of full-modality molecular design and bringing the vision of Scientific AGI into reality.
