ZhenFund angel project Genspark announces $275 million Series B to build next-generation AI agent platform | Z News
Genspark is building a new generation of AI productivity tools for users worldwide.
On November 21, AI startup Genspark officially announced the completion of its $275 million Series B round. Investors in this round include established Silicon Valley VC Emergence Capital, as well as global tech investors SBI Investment, LG Technology Ventures, Pavilion Capital, and UpHonest Capital. All existing investors also continued to increase their stakes in this round. ZhenFund became an angel investor in early 2024 and has steadily increased its investment from the first round onward, backing the company to this day.
Just five months after launch, Genspark has surpassed $50 million in annualized revenue, making it one of the fastest-growing AI companies in the industry.
Yusen Dai, Managing Partner at ZhenFund, said: "Humans are animals that use tools. The AI revolution is first and foremost a productivity revolution. The new generation of productivity tools driven by cutting-edge AI technology is rapidly transforming how we work, and Genspark is a powerful force in this wave of change. ZhenFund was fortunate to invest decisively in Kun Jing and Kaihua Zhu from the very first round of Genspark, and we have continued to increase our investment in every subsequent funding round, accompanying the company through product iterations and upgrades. We look forward to Genspark bringing more 'aha moments' to knowledge workers worldwide!"
Headquartered in Palo Alto, California, Genspark is dedicated to building a next-generation AI agent platform for one billion knowledge workers worldwide. The company was founded by a team with over a decade of deep experience in search and artificial intelligence, with core members from leading global tech companies including Microsoft, Google, Meta, YouTube, and Pinterest. CEO Kun Jing joined Microsoft in 2006 and helped create Bing; his previous company grew to a $5.5 billion valuation, and he has collaborated with CTO Kaihua Zhu for more than ten years. Zhu previously drove the deep learning revolution in search ranking at Google, and in 2013 launched the world's first deep neural network ranking model deployed in a production environment. COO Wen Sang holds a PhD from MIT and previously founded and successfully exited enterprise SaaS company Smarking. The team's years of experience building large-scale AI systems have enabled Genspark to establish an industry-leading evaluation system, ensuring users typically obtain high-quality results with just a single input.
"There are over one billion knowledge workers globally, and massive amounts of time are consumed by repetitive text-based work: writing emails, organizing meeting notes, creating presentations, analyzing data, drafting reports," said Kun Jing. "AI chatbots have conversational ability, but they can't actually get the work done. You still need to write prompts, switch between tools, and revise the output. This isn't transformation — it's just mechanical labor with AI involved."
Genspark All-in-One AI Workspace is among the most advanced AI agent platforms available today. Genspark Super Agent can independently complete tasks in the real world, from restaurant reservations to professional-grade presentation creation, with full capabilities for thinking, planning, and execution — without complex workflows or human intervention. Rather than relying on a single model, the platform intelligently orchestrates across more than 30 large models including GPT, Claude, Gemini, and various open-source models, supported by over 150 self-developed tools and more than 20 advanced datasets, connecting with hundreds of workplace applications to integrate data and processes and ultimately produce ready-to-use results.

"We want to change the entire path of work, allowing knowledge workers to focus on strategy and decision-making while handing execution over to agents with autonomous evolution capabilities. Users simply state their goals, and we deliver the results," said Kun Jing. "This will reshape how billions of people work, moving from task management to outcome-driven approaches."
While today's large models possess powerful reasoning capabilities, they still lack "hands and feet" when it comes to executing complex business tasks. Genspark fills this gap: starting from the goal, it completes full-process orchestration through its Mixture-of-Agents (MoA) autonomous architecture — no step-by-step instructions, no prompts, no tool-switching required to obtain the final result directly.
Kun Jing said: "We believe this is a rare window in time to build truly era-defining products. Genspark and the way millions of users are already using it prove that the AI era demands an entirely new approach to work."
In the AI era, Genspark is committed to making work autonomously complete itself.
