ZhenFund angel project LeXiang Technology announced the completion of a 200 million yuan angel++ round, continuing to focus on consumer-grade embodied intelligence product R&D

On September 28, consumer-grade embodied intelligence robotics company Suzhou Lexiang Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Lexiang Technology") officially announced the completion of a RMB 200 million angel++ funding round. This round was led by Eastern Bell Capital, with existing investor IDG Capital continuing to increase its stake. The funds will be primarily used for in-house R&D of core components, robot body and motion control technology development, and iterative refinement of consciousness-bionic models, with the goal of accelerating the scaled deployment of consumer-grade embodied intelligence products. ZhenFund became an angel investor when Lexiang Technology was founded at the end of 2024 and has supported the company throughout its journey.

This marks the third funding round Lexiang Technology has completed within nine months since its inception. To date, the company's total angel round funding has reached nearly RMB 500 million.

Lexiang Technology founder Renjie Guo was born in 1997. At age 15, he enrolled in the Xi'an Jiaotong University Youth Class (energy and power engineering track) and the Jinhe Center for Economic Research, and later earned his master's degree in economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He previously served as Executive President of Dreame's China region, achieving annual revenue of RMB 6 billion within three years and managing a team of over 1,500 people. Since founding Lexiang Technology, he has combined embodied intelligence technology with his experience building consumer-grade robots at the tens-of-billions revenue scale, aiming to create the world's first embodied intelligence product for consumer-grade scenarios.

Lexiang Technology has built its core competitiveness around top-tier talent. The team has already expanded to 90 people, with R&D personnel accounting for over 80%, forming a highly efficient, product-oriented technical team. Core R&D members are graduates of leading domestic and international universities and research institutions including Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, UC Berkeley, and Carnegie Mellon University.

The team has recently attracted top talent from multiple world-class AI research institutions, continuously strengthening its capabilities in high-precision motion control, multi-modal perception fusion, and robot body structure — further reinforcing Lexiang Technology's long-term technical moat, helping the company build a positive flywheel in underlying technology R&D, and injecting stronger technical momentum into the innovative iteration of consumer-grade embodied intelligence products.

Within the team, two product line presidents and a CTO with two decades of experience in consumer-grade robots collaborate with top-tier embodied intelligence talent, creating a rich fusion of technical R&D experience and academic innovation that ensures a solid foundation for the company's technological breakthroughs in embodied intelligence and subsequent mass production development.

At the product deployment and scenario expansion level, Lexiang Technology continues to push consumer-grade embodied intelligence products from technical concept toward real-world application. Its tracked robot W-bot (nickname WaWa) has appeared at two major international tech events — the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) and the World Robot Conference (WRC) — where it became a viral photo spot at the exhibitions thanks to its precise motion control capabilities, smooth human-robot interaction experience, adaptability in complex scenarios, and approachable design, earning widespread acclaim from industry experts, partners, and media, demonstrating the company's preliminary exploration in the consumer-grade embodied intelligence field.

More breakthrough still, W-bot crossed over into the sports arena, becoming the first robot team leader in the Jiangsu Super League (Su Chao) on July 20, 2025, appearing at Suzhou's home stadium — pioneering an entirely new model for embodied robots in public sports scenarios through an innovative "technology + sports" fusion. This attempt not only broke down barriers between tech products and mass sports scenarios, allowing more people to directly experience the appeal of embodied intelligence technology, but also opened up possibilities for W-bot's collaborative applications across multiple industries. With its unique combination of interactive capabilities and load transportation capacity, W-bot has already attracted intent orders from industries including retail, education, real estate, and pet care, and will become a participant across hundreds of industries and thousands of businesses.

Previously, the first-generation WAWA prototype had already begun market validation, making its public debut at JD.com's 618 Summer Concert on May 31, 2025, and successfully selling for RMB 29,799 at a JD.com auction event on June 3 — providing preliminary validation of market recognition of its product value and accumulating valuable experience for the subsequent scaled market launch of consumer-grade products.

The two core product platforms the company is advancing in parallel — Z-Bot, a 60cm-tall small embodied intelligence robot with 20 degrees of freedom, and W-Bot, a tracked robot combining interactive capabilities with locomotion and load capacity — are both being steadily developed for the "indoor" and "outdoor" demands of home scenarios, with the internal R&D system maintaining a high degree of platformization. To support the company's long-term high-speed iteration strategy, Lexiang Technology will further enrich its product matrix in the future, covering more diverse consumer scenarios.

Following the completion of this funding round, Lexiang Technology will further increase R&D investment, accelerate core technology iteration and product mass production, and push consumer-grade embodied intelligence from "cutting-edge technology" toward "mass consumption" — helping China's embodied intelligence industry become a global leader.
