We're hiring an operations intern.
As many of you know, the slogan of Anyong Waves is "Where the money flows, where people rise and fall." That's because we believe money and people are the two master keys to unlocking the world of business. Past, present, or future — no exceptions. These are also the two guiding threads of our editorial work. Through interviews, reading, thinking, and writing, we aim to present our readers with a world as close to reality as possible, yet unburdened by trivial details. Pivotal events, business leaders, industrial shifts, and the fateful entanglements between individuals and their industries, between individuals and their times — these are the subjects we dedicate ourselves to uncovering. Over the past three years, a handful of pieces might represent what we're about:
Farewell, a Decade of Venture Capital | Anyong's Second Anniversary
Unveiling DeepSeek: A More Extreme Tale of Chinese Technological Idealism
The Madness of High-Flyer: An Invisible AI Giant's Path to Foundation Models
Reawakening China's Primary Market
The Iron Curtain of Venture Capital Finally Falls

As our operations intern, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Anyong Waves, including but not limited to: our WeChat official account, Xiaohongshu, and other new media channels; our afternoon tea events; and community programming, among other things. New content formats are emerging rapidly, so if you bring fresh, inventive ways of expression, we'd especially love to hear from you. We hope you have some operations experience and a basic grasp of the content industry. No thin skin — be brave, upright, and well-read. We believe that sharing this journey with Anyong Waves will be an unforgettable and remarkable experience.
As is customary for an intern recruitment post, here are a few things we look for in you:
- Currently enrolled undergraduate or above; media or business-related majors preferred;
- Strong execution, sound logic, and good communication skills;
- Familiar with account and community operations on text-and-image platforms like WeChat official accounts and Xiaohongshu;
- Good visual and textual taste, with basic design skills;
- Minimum three-month internship; based in Beijing, remote work supported, but at least 3–4 days per week in office.
Nice to have:
- Extended overseas living experience;
- Hands-on experimentation with major AI tools;
- Basic understanding of the primary market, with genuine curiosity about the people and stories of the business world, plus your own thoughts and perspectives.
But if we could keep only one requirement — and this is what we consider the most important — it would be this: your curiosity about "where the money flows, where people rise and fall." Please reach out: waves@36kr.com. Looking forward to working with you.
