The World Robot Conference 2025 (WRC), themed "Making Robots Smarter, Making Embodied Bodies More Intelligent," was recently held in Beijing. Co-hosted by the Chinese Institute of Electronics and the World Robot Cooperation Organization, the conference brought together over 200 companies from around the world showcasing more than 1,500 exhibits. The event focused on expanding application scenarios, frontier technological innovation, breakthroughs in key technologies, new product launches, and international cooperation — presenting the latest research achievements, products, and solutions in global robotics.

UBTECH Showcases Five Humanoid Robots
Demonstrating Swarm Intelligence Capabilities
UBTECH brought five humanoid robots to this year's World Robot Conference, including Walker S2, the world's first humanoid robot with autonomous battery swapping; Cruzr S2, a full-size general-purpose wheeled humanoid robot; Walker S1, the industrial humanoid robot "employed" at the most factories globally; Walker C, the first embodied intelligent "guide ambassador" for the China Pavilion at the Osaka Expo; and Tiangong Xingzhe, a full-size research-grade humanoid robot. Through rich application scenario demonstrations spanning industrial manufacturing, commercial services, scientific research and education, and entertainment companionship, visitors were immersed in embodied intelligence use cases.
UBTECH officially launched the full-size general-purpose wheeled humanoid robot Cruzr S2, powered by UBTECH's self-developed humanoid robot collaborative intelligent agent Co-Agent. Cruzr S2 features embodied intelligent key technologies including visual-LiDAR fused navigation and learning-based motion control, enabling efficient and stable traversal in complex scenarios. It supports full-range spatial搬运 and sub-millimeter precision operations, meeting multi-scenario and multi-task operational needs such as sorting and搬运, production assembly, pharmaceutical transfer, and reception and guidance — effectively helping enterprises improve operational efficiency and achieve high-quality industrial development.
UBTECH debuted its breakthrough humanoid robot swarm intelligence technology for the first time, based on production-line-level task-driven cross-domain fused perception technology, intelligent hybrid decision-making technology, and multi-robot collaborative control technology, showcasing a general-purpose humanoid robot swarm operation solution for multi-task industrial scenarios. Through the overall scheduling and task allocation management of the Group Brain Network 2.0, multiple Walker S2 and Cruzr S2 units collaborated with UQI Youqi's lifting mobile robot Wali U600 and unmanned logistics vehicle Chitu to successfully demonstrate the full-process operation from material入库搬运 to intelligent sorting. By applying the industrial humanoid robot collaborative intelligent agent Co-Agent, Walker S2 and Cruzr S2 were transformed into "intelligent agents" with specific functions (such as搬运 intelligent agents, sorting intelligent agents, and other roles). This AI dual-loop system composed of Group Brain Network 2.0 and Co-Agent ensures both single-machine autonomous decision-making capabilities and emergent swarm collaborative intelligence, effectively improving overall operational efficiency.

He Wang of Galaxy Universal Delivers Keynote at Main Forum
Showcasing the World's First Robot Powered by Thor Chip
He Wang, founder and CTO of Galaxy Universal and assistant professor at Peking University, delivered a report titled "Synthetic Data as Wings: Driving the Commercial Takeoff of Humanoid Robots" at the main forum. He argued that for humanoid robots to achieve large-scale commercial deployment, they currently face a major challenge — the data scarcity problem, and this data must include motion data. The deep integration of physical simulation and computer graphics can build a complete data augmentation and generation solution. Specifically, through computer graphics techniques, the physical laws of the real world can be fully migrated to computational simulation environments, enabling large-scale interactive object assets. Leveraging Galaxy Universal's accumulated synthetic pipeline, large amounts of motion data can be generated. This data can be produced through direct synthesis or through reinforcement learning, allowing humanoid robots to generate data through autonomous exploration. Whether directly synthesized or generated through reinforcement learning trial and error, the data can be further verified and optimized through simulators. Then, renderers are used to convert this data into visual data. Finally, through Sim2Real (simulation to reality) technology transfer, the trained models are directly deployed in the real world, driving commercial applications of humanoid robots.

At the concurrent event "Industry-Finance Linkage: Reconstructing the Value Density of Robotics from Laboratory to Industry," regarding the development prospects of China's robotics industry, Wang noted that China possesses the world's richest industrial chain and application scenarios, and will be the first to achieve breakthroughs in the field of embodied intelligent robots. This advantage, combined with synthetic data technology, is expected to propel China to become a global leader in embodied intelligence.
Additionally, on the eve of the World Robot Conference, Galaxy Universal announced the launch of the world's first fully autonomous humanoid robot retail pod, Galaxy Space Pod, at Zhongguancun Darong City; during this year's conference, Galaxy Universal brought its "robot convenience store" to the exhibition floor, showcasing its embodied large-model robot Galbot — from end-to-end embodied large-model technology live demonstrations in the foyer, to full-scenario applications covering commercial, industrial, and urban services at the autonomous booth, to real commercial sales in the reception area. Galbot operated throughout without teleoperation, running efficiently and becoming the center of attention.
Galaxy Universal and NVIDIA jointly launched the first robot application powered by the NVIDIA Jetson Thor chip. As China's first robot equipped with the NVIDIA Jetson Thor chip, the Galbot G1 Premium completed industrial scenario applications. In the live demonstration, the chip-equipped robot demonstrated smooth motion performance and real-time bin visual processing and motion planning capabilities, with significantly improved speed.

DH-Robotics Unveils DH-5-6 Tactile Dexterous Hand
During the World Robot Conference, DH-Robotics unveiled its second-generation dexterous hand — the DH-5-6 tactile dexterous hand, and showcased innovative applications including chip夹持, mahjong夹持, dumbbell lifting, general insertion and removal, CPU assembly stations, teleoperation, and magnetic levitation ring lines.
The DH-5-6 dexterous hand can be optionally equipped with array high-sensitivity tactile sensors, placed at key contact areas such as fingertips and palms, enabling precise perception of object material, texture, shape, softness, sliding state, and pressure changes. Based on ionic active layers and microstructure design, its biomimetic perception capability can real-time capture three-dimensional force field changes including contact surface pressure distribution, material texture characteristics, and micro-sliding trends.
Through systematic optimization and upgrades to the drive solution and transmission structure, the DH-5-6 dexterous hand achieved a major breakthrough in grasping lifespan, with reliable operation cycles exceeding 1 million times. Compared to the industry standard of 100,000 to 300,000 cycles for conventional products, this represents an improvement of more than 3x, fully meeting stable operation requirements in long-term high-frequency operation scenarios.
DH-Robotics has established a mature supply chain system and large-scale manufacturing capabilities. To date, DH-Robotics has completed deliveries of over 200,000 sets of electric grippers, servo electric cylinders, voice coil actuators, anthropomorphic dexterous hands, iFM intelligent flexible motion systems, and drives, with electric actuator product sales ranking first in China.

Hesai Technology brought its latest LiDAR technology to this year's World Robot Conference, showcasing two core product solutions for robotics scenarios — the miniaturized ultra-hemispherical 3D LiDAR JT series and the next-generation automotive-grade pure solid-state LiDAR FTX.
