Vivatides Therapeutics Oversubscribes $54 Million Series A, Co-Led by Qiming Venture Partners

An international innovative biopharmaceutical company focused on the R&D of extrahepatic-targeted small nucleic acid drugs

Vivatides Therapeutics, an international innovative biopharmaceutical company focused on developing extrahepatic-targeted small nucleic acid drugs, recently announced the successful completion of an oversubscribed $54 million Series A financing round. Qiming Venture Partners co-led the round. Proceeds from this round will primarily fund the iterative optimization of the company's core extrahepatic delivery technology platform, clinical advancement of multiple pipeline programs, team expansion, and the establishment of a global R&D network. As an emerging player in the small nucleic acid space, Vivatides has completed both seed and Series A financings within less than a year since its founding, demonstrating investor confidence in the company's technological breakthrough capabilities and execution efficiency in the extrahepatic small nucleic acid field. Small nucleic acid drugs, with their advantages of abundant targets, high specificity, and durable efficacy, are poised to become the third major therapeutic modality after small molecules and antibody drugs. Traditional small nucleic acid drugs have been constrained by delivery technologies, with most focusing on liver-targeted applications, while therapeutic needs for extrahepatic tissue-related diseases have long gone unmet — a widely recognized direction for next-generation technological breakthroughs. With the rise of extrahepatic delivery technologies, indications for small nucleic acid drugs are rapidly expanding from rare diseases to chronic conditions such as hyperlipidemia, hypertension, and oncology, creating exponential market growth. Since its establishment in 2025, Vivatides has remained focused on independent innovation and translation of extrahepatic small nucleic acid delivery technology. The company's international core team comprises senior experts from global small nucleic acid leaders including Arrowhead, Ionis, Alnylam, and Dicerna, who have led multiple extrahepatic pipeline development and platform construction efforts. Among the extrahepatic small nucleic acid projects that team members have previously led or been deeply involved in, several have already entered clinical development. Leveraging the technical expertise of its international team, Vivatides has built a differentiated extrahepatic delivery platform with core R&D capabilities in both siRNA and ASO. The company has achieved key breakthroughs in ligand conjugation, delivery efficiency, tissue targeting precision, and safety, with substantial progress already demonstrated in animal studies. Combined with leading sequence design and target identification capabilities, this has laid a solid foundation for rapid parallel advancement and expansion of multiple pipeline programs. "Extrahepatic targeted delivery is the key that unlocks small nucleic acid technology's transition from 'niche rare diseases' to 'mass-market chronic conditions,'" said Dr. Keming Zhou, founder of Vivatides. "We are honored to receive support and recognition from multiple top-tier investment institutions. This financing will accelerate our technology platform iteration and pipeline development, driving the clinical translation of innovative small nucleic acid therapies in extrahepatic disease areas. We firmly believe that by breaking through delivery bottlenecks, small nucleic acid drugs will revolutionize treatment paradigms across a broader range of diseases. We also look forward to further exchange and collaboration with more long-term value-oriented partners to bring new treatment options to patients worldwide." Dr. Kan Chen, Partner at Qiming Venture Partners and co-head of Healthcare, commented: "We have long been optimistic about the potential of small nucleic acid drugs in broader disease applications, and continuous advances in extrahepatic targeting technology are steadily expanding their clinical boundaries. Vivatides has demonstrated solid technical accumulation and efficient execution capabilities in this direction, with positive progress already achieved on its platform. We look forward to the company continuing to drive technological breakthroughs and accelerate pipeline translation into clinical applications, bringing safer and more effective innovative therapies to patients globally." Following this financing round, Vivatides will further accelerate optimization of preclinical pipelines and IND-enabling preparations, while continuing to expand its R&D and management teams and deepen the platformization of its extrahepatic delivery technology. Going forward, the company will focus on meeting unmet clinical needs, targeting high-incidence, high-demand extrahepatic disease areas, and building a globally leading extrahepatic small nucleic acid drug development enterprise to provide more efficient and safer innovative therapies for patients worldwide.

This round was co-led by Qiming Venture Partners and a well-known industry fund, with active participation from HLC, a prominent investment fund, and TF Capital. Existing investor Xingze Capital continued to increase its investment.
