AusperBio raises $63M in Series B2 funding co-led by Qiming Venture Partners
Haibo Pharmaceutical is a clinical-stage innovative drug company focused on the R&D of self-developed targeted small nucleic acid therapeutics, with "achieving clinical cure for chronic hepatitis B" as its core mission.

AusperBio (Ausper Biopharma Co., Ltd. and AusperBio Therapeutics Inc., collectively "AusperBio"), a clinical-stage innovative biopharmaceutical company focused on proprietary targeted delivery of small nucleic acid drugs with the core mission of achieving functional cure for chronic hepatitis B, today announced the completion of a $63 million Series B2 financing round.
This round was co-led by Qiming Venture Partners. This marks AusperBio's second successful financing in 2025, bringing the company's total fundraising for the year to over $113 million.
The proceeds will be strategically deployed across AusperBio's core development priorities, encompassing three main areas: first, accelerating clinical trials for its flagship product AHB-137, an antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) innovative drug for functional cure of chronic hepatitis B, including Phase III trials in mainland China, Phase II combination therapy and treatment-naïve patient studies, and concurrent Phase II trials overseas; second, advancing early commercialization and industrialization planning for AHB-137 to lay groundwork for future market launch and global patient access; and third, continuing to expand the company's innovative pipeline while strengthening specialized teams domestically and internationally to build core technological and human capital for long-term growth.
Dr. Guofeng Cheng, Co-founder and CEO of AusperBio, stated: "We are deeply honored by the continued trust and support from both new and existing investors. With four consecutive financing rounds completed between 2024 and 2025, this not only demonstrates capital markets' strong recognition of our innovation capabilities, but also validates the commercial potential of AHB-137. At this important milestone, we will devote our full efforts to advancing the Phase III clinical trials of AHB-137 with quality and efficiency, while accelerating clinical development of multiple targeted oligonucleotide innovative drugs, striving to address critical unmet medical needs as early as possible."
Dr. Chengyong Yang, Co-founder and CSO of AusperBio, stated: "AHB-137's rapid progression from first IND approval to Phase III clinical trials reflects our investors' steadfast support for the company's strategy. Previously, AHB-137 clinical data has been presented multiple times as breakthrough abstracts at international conferences including EASL and AASLD, generating extensive attention and discussion in the scientific community. Looking ahead, we will continue to explore AHB-137's broader potential and drive scientific breakthroughs through innovative multi-mechanism combination strategies, leveraging scientific excellence to advance innovation in the oligonucleotide therapeutics industry."
William Hu, Managing Partner of Qiming Venture Partners, stated: "Qiming Venture Partners is pleased to continue increasing our investment and co-lead this round for AusperBio. The company has demonstrated outstanding R&D capabilities and execution efficiency. Its core product AHB-137 has successfully entered Phase III clinical trials and possesses the potential to become a best-in-class therapy. Chronic hepatitis B represents a major global health challenge, and we look forward to AHB-137's clinical success and its timely delivery of functional cure to patients worldwide."
This round was co-led by Qiming Venture Partners alongside a globally renowned industry-focused investment institution, with participation from several leading domestic investors including Hyacinth Capital, CDH VGC, YuanSheng Ventures, Sherpa Healthcare Partners, and YuanSheng Capital.
