Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company WeRide adopts BlackBerry QNX to build ultra-safe ADAS solution

By leveraging QNX's foundational software, WeRide has not only enhanced the performance of its driver-assistance systems, but also advanced autonomous vehicles as a core component of smart cities — easing traffic congestion, reducing carbon emissions, and improving road safety.

Recently, WeRide (NASDAQ: WRD), a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company and a global leader in autonomous driving technology, announced a partnership with QNX, a subsidiary of BlackBerry Limited (hereinafter referred to as "BlackBerry"), to jointly accelerate the development and deployment of software-defined vehicle (SDV) solutions for global automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.

Under this collaboration, WeRide will deeply integrate BlackBerry QNX's advanced technology stack into WePilot, its ADAS high-level intelligent driving solution for L2++ passenger vehicles. The solution achieved mass production by the end of 2023, jointly advanced by WeRide and global top-tier Tier 1 supplier Bosch Group, and was first launched on Chery Automobile's Exeed Sterra ES and ET models, delivering an exceptional all-scenario integrated driving and parking assistance experience to end consumers.
