Morning Star|Noitom Robotics Closes Pre-A+ Round Led by Qiming Venture Partners

is a data company serving the Embodied Artificial Intelligence and humanoid robotics industry

Noitom Robotics recently announced the completion of its Pre-A+ funding round, led by Qiming Venture Partners. Following its Pre-A round and this latest raise, Noitom Robotics has now raised hundreds of millions of RMB in total.

The proceeds will primarily fund continued R&D investment in multimodal data collection, processing, and delivery capabilities for embodied AI; accelerate the build-out of scalable data production systems and engineering platforms; and further strengthen core technical and engineering team capabilities to enhance productized delivery and service capacity — laying a solid foundation for Noitom Robotics' long-term global development.

On this funding round, Dr. Ruoli Dai, founder of Noitom Robotics and a veteran technical expert in motion capture and human-computer interaction, said: "This represents not just validation of our technical direction, but a vote for long-termism. We're grateful to our investors for trusting a 'robot company that doesn't build robots.' We'll repay that trust through sustained technology investment and product and service capabilities."

Noitom Robotics is a data company serving the embodied AI and humanoid robotics industries. With "data" as its core deliverable, it provides high-quality, scalable training data and related infrastructure capabilities to robotics companies and embodied AI model teams. As the embodied AI industry accelerates, high-quality, multimodal training data is becoming a critical foundational element driving sector progress.

Before founding Noitom Robotics, Dr. Ruoli Dai co-founded Noitom Ltd., where he spent over a decade advancing human motion digitization. As the technical and product lead, he helped the company capture 70% of the global professional motion capture market, successfully delivering tens of thousands of motion capture systems and establishing industry leadership.

In serving robotics and embodied AI clients, Dr. Dai and his team observed a structural shift in industry data demands: data acquisition, structuring, and engineering capabilities are becoming decisive factors in determining the ceiling of embodied AI systems. The industry is rapidly transitioning from small-scale data needs偏向 "demonstration or content production" toward large-scale, scalable training data delivery. Based on its assessment of industry ceilings and business models, Noitom Robotics chose to enter at the data infrastructure layer, focusing on building industry-facing technology and platform capabilities.

Noitom Robotics focuses on real-world data that can scale and transfer across different robot embodiments, from ultra-high-precision, ultra-complete-modal factory-captured (in-the-factory) data to visually generalizable field-captured (in-the-wild) data based on real-environment collection. It explores a human-centric data pathway to enhance data generalization value and long-term usability, and is progressively advancing "data factory" engineering construction globally to develop differentiated advantages: leveraging mature motion capture and human-computer interaction technology systems to achieve high-precision capture of complex human behaviors; structuring and standardizing behavioral data to improve processing and delivery pipelines and boost scalable production efficiency; and building cross-embodiment mapping and data utilization infrastructure to adapt to various embodiments and different levels of training needs. These capabilities have been validated through delivery practices serving dozens of humanoid robotics companies and embodied AI model clients globally.

Alex Zhou, Managing Partner at Qiming Venture Partners, said: "As embodied AI model algorithms gradually converge and the Scaling Law receives preliminary validation, high-quality, scalable acquisition of training data has become a core element enabling the next leap in robotic intelligence. The Noitom Robotics team is one of the very few players in the industry with full-stack data capabilities, with over a decade of technical accumulation. Their entry at this moment, as embodied AI enters an accelerated development phase, is precisely timed and well-positioned to ride the momentum."

This round was led by Qiming Venture Partners, with participation from 5Y Capital, Legend Capital, and other institutions. Matrix Partners China and Inno Angel Fund made additional investments, with the round oversubscribed.
