Yangli Pharma closes nine-figure RMB Series B round led by Qiming Venture Partners

Focused on developing first-in-class and best-in-class Class 1 innovative drugs with global intellectual property rights, with a focus on oncology and chronic disease therapeutics.

Recently, innovative drug R&D company Zhejiang Yangli Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd. ("Yangli Pharma") announced the completion of a nine-figure RMB Series B financing round led exclusively by Qiming Venture Partners. The company's existing shareholders also include TF Capital, Hangzhou Capital, and Runzhang Venture Capital. Proceeds from this round will advance multiple clinical programs.

Founded in 2021 and headquartered in Hangzhou, Yangli Pharma operates with a China-based, globally competitive vision. The company focuses on developing first-in-class and best-in-class innovative Class 1 new drugs with global intellectual property rights, targeting oncology and chronic disease therapeutics, with multiple programs already in Phase I and Phase II clinical trials.

Yangli Pharma has assembled world-class drug innovation experts and management talent. Its core founding team holds degrees from Tsinghua University, UCLA, the State University of New York, West China Medical Center of Sichuan University (formerly West China University of Medical Sciences), and The University of Hong Kong.

Dr. Wei Sha, founder and president of Yangli Pharma, brings extensive industry experience. Prior to founding Yangli Pharma, she served as general manager of Taifeng Research Institute at Taifeng Pharmaceutical Group — a founding shareholder of Yangli Pharma — with comprehensive expertise spanning the entire drug development-to-commercialization lifecycle, laying a solid foundation for the company's innovative R&D and industrialization.

Dr. Zhaozhong Ding, co-founder and chairman, contributes over 30 years of drug development and management experience, bringing invaluable R&D leadership to Yangli Pharma.

Dr. Dong Fang, chief scientific officer, brings more than two decades of drug discovery and development experience. He contributed to the development of multiple approved oncology drugs including Lisaftoclax, Olverembatinib, Iruplinalkib, and Glasdegib, advanced dozens of IND applications in China and the United States, published over 40 peer-reviewed scientific papers, and holds more than 20 patents.

This strong talent team provides the core driving force for the company's innovative drug R&D. Yangli Pharma has already achieved significant progress across multiple innovative drug programs covering hypertension and various solid tumors. Clinical-stage assets include the highly selective aldosterone synthase inhibitor VB19055 and the small-molecule targeted agents TFX05, TFX06, and VB15. Preclinical small-molecule and small-nucleic-acid pipelines span oncology, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and diabetes.

Yangli Pharma's outstanding performance in innovative drug development has earned numerous honors, including National High-Tech Enterprise, National Science and Technology SME, Zhejiang Province Innovative SME, 2024 Talent-Driven Demonstration Enterprise, and the ninth batch of "Dayun Talent" innovation and entrepreneurship projects.
