Qiming Star | Tianchen Biotech Raises Over 200 Million Yuan in Series C, Co-Led by Qiming Venture Partners

TianChen Bio is committed to setting the industry benchmark in allergic diseases and complement-mediated diseases, continuously driving treatment innovation to deliver breakthrough therapies with greater clinical value and accessibility for patients worldwide.

Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Ticarum Biotechnology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Ticarum") announced the completion of an oversubscribed RMB 200 million Series C financing round. The round was co-led by existing shareholder Qiming Venture Partners.

Proceeds will primarily fund the Phase 3 clinical trial and subsequent commercialization preparation for its lead asset — the next-generation anti-IgE antibody LP-003 — as well as Phase 2 clinical development across multiple indications for LP-005, a global first-in-class bifunctional complement antibody, further strengthening Ticarum's innovation edge in allergy and complement-mediated diseases.

Within the past year, Ticarum has closed successive Series B2, B3, and C rounds, raising over RMB 300 million in total — underscoring capital markets' strong recognition of its technical capabilities and commercial potential. At the 2025 Future Healthcare Industry Summit held in May, Ticarum was named to the "2025 Future Healthcare 100 · Top 100 Chinese Innovative Pharmaceutical and Biologics Companies" list.

LP-003 Commercialization Accelerates

Targeting a Multi-Billion-Dollar Market

As the most advanced anti-IgE antibody in development globally, LP-003 has entered Phase 3 trials for allergic rhinitis, with a New Drug Application/Biologics License Application (NDA/BLA) expected in early 2026. A second indication, chronic spontaneous urticaria, will initiate Phase 3 in 2026. Additionally, Phase 2 studies for allergic asthma, food allergy, and other indications are underway, continuously expanding the drug's commercial value.

Head-to-head clinical data against omalizumab (which generated $4.4 billion in global sales in 2024) show that LP-003 offers faster onset, superior and sustained efficacy, continued improvement, lower dosing frequency, and a better safety profile — positioning it as a potential "best-in-class" therapy poised to capture a multi-billion-dollar allergy disease market.

LP-005: Global First-in-Class Bifunctional Antibody

Pioneering Multiple Blue-Ocean Indications

LP-005 is the world's first bifunctional antibody fusion protein capable of simultaneously inhibiting all three complement pathways. It has already demonstrated significant efficacy in Phase 2 trials for paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH). In 2025, clinical studies will launch for complement-mediated renal diseases (including IgA nephropathy, C3 glomerulopathy, and others) as well as additional conditions. With its "one drug, multiple targets" innovative mechanism, LP-005 is expected to fill treatment gaps across multiple areas of unmet clinical need.

Riding the wave of robust growth in global allergy and complement drug markets, Ticarum is leveraging breakthrough technological innovation as its engine, supported by deep and differentiated pipeline development, to accelerate toward its goal of becoming a global leader in biopharmaceuticals. The company is committed to setting industry benchmarks in allergic and complement-mediated diseases, continuously driving therapeutic paradigm shifts to deliver more clinically valuable and accessible breakthrough treatments for patients worldwide, reshaping the competitive landscape in these therapeutic areas.

The Series C round was co-led by HLC and existing shareholder Qiming Venture Partners, with participation from Linchuang Lanwan Fund, Betta Fund, and Zhenmai Fund. Existing shareholders Sanyi Capital and Shanxi Securities Innovation also reinvested.
