Selection Criteria

The awards are based on thorough research and verification of information and data, combining quantitative and qualitative evaluation with emphasis on quantitative metrics. The selection process conducts a comprehensive assessment of the complete investment and financing cycle, evaluating multiple dimensions of fundraising, investment, management, and exit. It considers participating institutions' overall fundraising capabilities, investment competence, and performance, while fully weighing factors such as the investment experience of the management team, team stability, company influence, social responsibility, and corporate governance to determine award recipients.

China Securities Journal noted that over the past year, relevant authorities have issued multiple documents encouraging the development of equity investment and venture capital, focusing on removing bottlenecks and obstacles across the "fundraising, investment, management, and exit" cycle to further improve the policy environment and regulatory framework, and actively supporting the growth of venture capital. This year's Government Work Report proposed refining differentiated regulatory systems for venture capital funds, strengthening policy-based financial support, accelerating the development of venture capital, and growing patient capital. Amid the current international landscape and domestic modern industrial system development, private equity and venture capital — as important tools for direct financing and primary vehicles for innovative capital formation — are of increasingly strategic significance. The 9th Golden Bull Awards for Equity Investment by China Securities Journal continued to emphasize "patient capital," highlighting long-term value investment and hard-tech innovation, and exploring diversified fund exit pathways.
