Gan & Lee Pharmaceuticals' Insulin Glargine PDP Project Passes Brazilian National Review

Recently, Gan & Lee Pharmaceuticals (603087.SH) announced that its Productive Development Partnerships (Parcerias para o Desenvolvimento Produtivo, PDP) project, advanced in collaboration with Brazilian local enterprises and a subsidiary of Brazil's Ministry of Health, has successfully passed review by Brazil's Technical Evaluation Committee and PDP Review Committee.

This milestone marks the first time Gan & Lee Pharmaceuticals' self-developed insulin production technology will help Brazil achieve a fully localized insulin production supply chain in South America. The PDP project serves as a key initiative in Brazil's national public health system reform, aimed at strengthening the public health system and ensuring stable supply of essential medicines through full lifecycle production strategies. The Brazilian government has announced an investment of 130 million reais (approximately RMB 160 million) to launch factory construction for producing insulin glargine and other drugs.

Insilico Medicine's World's First AI Drug Named Rentosertib

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Insilico Medicine announced that the nonproprietary name Rentosertib for its self-developed innovative drug candidate ISM001-055 for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) has been approved by the United States Adopted Names (USAN) Council. Rentosertib is the world's first drug candidate for which both the target and molecular structure were discovered using generative AI.

Dr. Alex Zhavoronkov, founder and CEO of Insilico Medicine, said: "Rentosertib is the world's first drug to have both its target discovered and structure designed using modern generative AI technology. The formal approval of its nonproprietary name is a significant moment for both the pharmaceutical and AI industries. SinoCellTech's Anyouping® Approved for Two Additional Indications

Recently, finotonlimab (Anyouping®, SCT-I10A), a recombinant humanized anti-PD-1 IgG4 monoclonal antibody independently developed by Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company SinoCellTech (688520.SH), in combination with recombinant humanized anti-VEGF monoclonal antibody bevacizumab, received formal approval from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) for first-line treatment of patients with unresectable or metastatic hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) who have not previously received systemic therapy. This marks SinoCellTech's second PD-1 indication, following the approval for first-line treatment of recurrent/metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.

A multicenter, open-label, randomized controlled Phase 3 clinical study comparing finotonlimab plus bevacizumab versus sorafenib for first-line treatment of advanced hepatocellular carcinoma patients met its pre-specified primary statistical endpoint. Clinical results showed that the finotonlimab plus bevacizumab treatment group demonstrated clear competitive advantages across objective response rate, progression-free survival, and overall survival metrics, offering more patients the possibility of tumor remission and surgical resection. Additionally, the combination regimen showed favorable tolerability and safety.

04/ Berry Genomics Contributes to Demonstrating Technical Feasibility and Clinical Significance of Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing for Dominant Monogenic Diseases

Recently, a major research study co-conducted by the Medical Genetics Center at Central South University's School of Life Sciences, the Key Laboratory for Birth Defect Prevention and Control at Changsha Maternal and Child Health Hospital in Hunan Province, and Hunan Jiahui Genetics Specialist Hospital, with technical support from Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Berry Genomics (000710.SZ), was published in QJM—An International Journal of Medicine (impact factor: 7.3). The study confirmed the technical feasibility and clinical significance of non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) for dominant monogenic diseases.

Through core technological innovation, this study established the important clinical value of NIPT for dominant monogenic diseases, helping to enable more comprehensive early pregnancy fetal genetic risk assessment and leading a new phase of "chromosomal plus monogenic disease integrated prevention and control" strategy, deepening and expanding the field of prenatal screening.

05/ InventisBio Presents Phase 2 Clinical Results for TYK2 Inhibitor D-2570 in Psoriasis Treatment

At the 2025 American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) Annual Meeting, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company InventisBio (688382.SH) presented Phase 2 results for its self-developed TYK2 inhibitor D-2570 in moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis as an oral presentation in the conference's Late-Breaking Abstracts session. The study, led by Professor Jianzhong Zhang and Professor Cheng Zhou at Peking University People's Hospital, was a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 2 clinical trial.

Phase 2 clinical data for D-2570 demonstrated that the treatment showed significantly superior efficacy compared to placebo in moderate-to-severe psoriasis patients, with favorable safety. D-2570 has the potential to provide a new treatment option for patients with autoimmune diseases including psoriasis.

06/ BRL Medicine's CD7 Allogeneic CAR-T Therapy IND Approved by FDA

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company BRL Medicine announced that its CD7-targeted allogeneic CAR-T cell therapy CTD402 has received Investigational New Drug (IND) approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of pediatric and adult patients with relapsed/refractory T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma (R/R T-ALL/LBL). The FDA-approved study is a single-arm, open-label Phase 1b/2 clinical trial using a streamlined dose-exploration design aimed at optimizing the dosing regimen and accelerating clinical development.

"We are pleased that CTD402 has received IND clearance from the U.S. FDA to conduct a Phase 1b/2 clinical trial with a streamlined dose-exploration design, which will accelerate our clinical development in the United States," said Dr. Jiangtao Ren, President and Chief Scientific Officer of BRL Medicine. "Investigator-initiated trial (IIT) data have shown encouraging objective response rates (ORR) and a favorable safety profile. These results validate the ability of our ANSWER® platform to achieve rapid therapeutic effects while reducing patient risk, positioning CTD402 as a potential best-in-class therapy for T-cell malignancies."

07/ Sanegene Bio Announces Phase 2 Clinical Trial Launch for C3-Targeting siRNA Drug SGB-9768

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Sanegene Bio announced that its self-developed small interfering RNA (siRNA) drug SGB-9768 injection, targeting complement C3, has officially entered Phase 2 clinical trials in China. The study is led by Peking University First Hospital and conducted across multiple centers nationwide. This important milestone marks a key step in Sanegene Bio's development and has the potential to provide a new treatment option for patients worldwide with complement-mediated diseases.

SGB-9768 utilizes Sanegene Bio's uniquely innovative next-generation GalNAc liver delivery platform to deliver to liver cells, treating complement-mediated diseases by knocking down complement factor C3 protein expression. These include IgA nephropathy (IgAN), C3 glomerulopathy (C3G), immune complex-mediated membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis (IC-MPGN), dry age-related macular degeneration (dry AMD), paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH), and other renal and hematologic diseases.

08/ Abbisko Therapeutics' ABSK131 Clinical Study Application Approved by Center for Drug Evaluation, NMPA

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Abbisko Therapeutics (02256.HK) announced that its independently developed, highly selective small-molecule PRMT5*MTA inhibitor ABSK131 has received clinical trial approval from the Center for Drug Evaluation, NMPA for the treatment of patients with advanced solid tumors. In December last year, its clinical trial was approved by the FDA.

The approved study is a Phase 1, first-in-human, multicenter, open-label study evaluating the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary efficacy of ABSK131 in patients with advanced/metastatic solid tumors. The study population consists primarily of patients with deletion of the tumor suppressor gene MTAP.

09/ Atrui Sciences Collaboration Published in The BMJ

Recently, a study led by Professor Feng Tao's research team at the Department of Neurology, Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University — titled "Projections of global prevalence and burden of Parkinson's disease to 2050 and analysis of potential drivers: a modelling study based on GBD 2021" — was published in The BMJ, one of the world's four leading medical journals (Chinese Academy of Sciences Medical Zone 1, JCR Q1, impact factor: 93.7). Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Atrui Sciences and the Huazhong University of Science and Technology–Atrui Sciences Intelligent Digital Medical Technology Center for Neurological Disorders contributed mathematical modeling and statistical analysis to the research.

This study projects and analyzes global Parkinson's disease prevalence across different ages, sexes, and regions, as well as the unequal distribution of disease burden, providing a scientific basis for planning prevention and control measures and allocating health resources.

10/ Abogen Biosciences' Lyophilized mRNA Vaccine Approved for Clinical Trials

Recently, the Center for Drug Evaluation, NMPA website showed that Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Abogen Biosciences has received implicit clinical trial approval for its investigational new drug (IND) application for a lyophilized respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) mRNA vaccine (application numbers: CXSL2400848, CXSL2400849, CXSL2400850). This marks a milestone as the first Abogen Biosciences product using its proprietary base modification technology to receive clinical approval.

The vaccine employs Abogen Biosciences' proprietary lipid nanoparticle (LNP) delivery system. The core component of this system is the only ionizable lipid in China that has been validated through large-scale Phase 3 clinical trials and is protected by independent intellectual property rights, demonstrating favorable safety and efficacy. It has already received patent authorization in multiple major countries and regions including China, the United States, Australia, and Europe. The vaccine uses the company's mature lyophilized formulation platform, which enables stable storage at 2-8°C for over two years — offering significant advantages in storage, transportation, accessibility, and convenience.

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Roborock (688169.SH) released the self-cleaning sweep-and-mop robots P20 Ultra and P20 Plus.

The new P-series flagship features a remarkably slim body at just 7.98 cm thick. Its retractable LDS paired with millimeter-level height-sensing sensors helps clean hard-to-reach low spaces; the RetractSense® retractable dual-view LDS ensures consistently precise positioning and navigation without missed spots; and the industry-first chassis lift technology allows the drive wheels and caster wheel to raise independently, enabling the robot to nimbly overcome obstacles and escape entrapment, dramatically improving cleaning coverage. Zai Lab Announces Repotrectinib Approved for Two Indications in Taiwan

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Zai Lab (NASDAQ: ZLAB, 09688.HK) announced that Taiwan's drug regulatory authority has approved the new drug application for repotrectinib (registered trade name in Taiwan: Augtyro®; registered trade name in mainland China: 奥凯乐®) for the treatment of adult patients with ROS1-positive locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer, and adult patients with NTRK gene fusion-positive solid tumors.

Repotrectinib is a next-generation tyrosine kinase inhibitor targeting ROS1 and NTRK oncogenic drivers. It has been included in China's 2024 National Reimbursement Drug List for the treatment of adult patients with ROS1-positive locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer.

Antengene's XPOVIO® Approved in Indonesia

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Antengene (06996.HK) announced that Indonesia's Food and Drug Administration (BPOM) has approved the new drug application (NDA) for XPOVIO® (generic name: selinexor) for three indications: in combination with bortezomib and dexamethasone for the treatment of adult patients with multiple myeloma (MM) who have received at least one prior therapy; in combination with dexamethasone for the treatment of adult patients with relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma (R/R MM) who have received at least four prior therapies and are refractory to at least two proteasome inhibitors (PIs), two immunomodulatory agents (IMiDs), and one anti-CD38 monoclonal antibody; and as monotherapy for the treatment of adult patients with relapsed/refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (R/R DLBCL) who have received at least two prior systemic therapies and are ineligible for hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, including DLBCL transformed from follicular lymphoma.

XPOVIO® is the world's first-in-class oral selective XPO1 inhibitor. It has been approved for multiple indications in ten countries and regions across the Asia-Pacific market, with reimbursement coverage in five of those markets (mainland China, Taiwan, Australia, Singapore, and South Korea).

Shenggen Medical's SA100 System Receives Class III Medical Device Approval from National Medical Products Administration

Recently, Shenggen Medical, a portfolio company of Qiming Venture Partners, received Class III medical device registration approval from China's National Medical Products Administration (registration no. 国械注准20253010503) for its self-developed ultrasonic high-frequency surgical integration system (model: SA100).

The SA100 console features Real-Time Tissue Adaptive Technology II (RTTE II), with an ultrasonic energy adaptive feedback algorithm capable of 50,000 interactions per second to capture resonant frequency in real time. Its Multi-Pulse Tissue Sensing Technology (MPTS) large-vessel sealing impedance feedback algorithm ensures feedback frequency of 475,000 times per second, with an average sealing cycle of 2–4 seconds.

The SanAgile® SASP ultrasonic scalpel features a finely curved blade tip and high-quality Teflon pad, making it suitable for long-duration procedures. The SanPulse® SPSJ advanced bipolar instrument offers efficient grasping and durable compression resistance, with an AUTOSTOP automatic start/stop function.

BioTree Launches Multiple Lysosomal Storage Disorder Mass Spectrometry Assay Kits

Recently, BioTree, a portfolio company of Qiming Venture Partners, launched multiple lysosomal storage disorder mass spectrometry assay kits.

The product uses dried blood spot sample detection technology, requiring only a small blood sample collected on specialized filter paper. This sampling method is simple and non-invasive, eliminating the need for venipuncture — particularly suitable for newborns and children. The collected dried blood spot samples remain stable at room temperature for storage and transport, significantly reducing sample handling and logistics complexity. After incubation, samples can be directly extracted and loaded for detection, with a straightforward workflow enabling rapid results.

The assay kit is based on liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) technology. Compared with traditional detection methods, LC-MS/MS offers high sensitivity, specificity, and resolution, enabling accurate simultaneous detection of multiple enzyme activities and substantially improving detection accuracy and efficiency.

UBTECH Achieves World's First Multi-Robot, Multi-Scenario, Multi-Task Humanoid Robot Collaborative Training

Recently, UBTECH (09880.HK), a portfolio company of Qiming Venture Partners, conducted the world's first collaborative training exercise involving multiple humanoid robots across multiple scenarios and tasks at ZEEKR's 5G smart factory, exploring the establishment of a general-purpose humanoid robot group operation solution for multi-task industrial scenarios and advancing humanoid robots from single-machine autonomy to swarm intelligence.

In this training exercise, UBTECH introduced swarm intelligence technology to humanoid robots for the first time, enabling multi-robot collaborative operations. Using humanoid robot clusters as physical platforms, the company explored higher-order Embodied Artificial Intelligence evolved through intensive interaction between swarm behavior and the external physical environment. To this end, UBTECH innovatively proposed the BrainNet software architecture for humanoid robot swarms and designed the Internet of Humanoids (IoH) intelligent connectivity hub, providing a reference path for the software and hardware implementation of swarm intelligence.

05/ Insilico Medicine Deploys First Humanoid Robot to Support Fully Automated Laboratory Operations

Recently, Insilico Medicine, a portfolio company of Qiming Venture Partners, announced the deployment of its first bipedal humanoid robot in its AI-driven fully automated robotic drug discovery laboratory, named "Supervisor." Guided by Insilico Medicine's automation team, Supervisor will undergo systematic Embodied Artificial Intelligence training through data collection and generation, systematically learning the skills of human laboratory scientists to assist with daily tasks including lab tours, telepresence, tracking and documentation, and laboratory supervision.

Dr. Alex Zhavoronkov, Founder and CEO of Insilico Medicine, stated: "Most laboratory equipment today is designed for human operation, meaning that building fully autonomous, human-free robotic laboratories lacks precedent and presents significant challenges. Recently, the team from Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Pulnovo Medical was invited to present Percutaneous Pulmonary Artery Denervation (PADN) at the main campus of Cleveland Clinic in the United States. They delivered two consecutive Grand Rounds lectures, systematically demonstrating PADN's complete innovation pathway from original discovery to global evidence-based medicine over twelve years. This marks the first time in Cleveland Clinic's century-long history that a Chinese principal investigator, Chinese original technology, and Chinese original solution have taken the podium at its main campus.

This follows PADN's appearance at Mayo Clinic in 2024, once again placing the technology on the world's premier medical institution stage. Through solid clinical data and long-term research accumulation, PADN has earned consecutive recognition from the world's most influential medical institutions, signaling a new height for the international impact of Chinese original technology.

Subsequently, at the 2025 Cardiovascular Research Technologies Conference (CRT 2025) in the United States, Dr. Giora Weisz, Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Columbia University and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, delivered a special presentation on PADN's latest research progress in treating pulmonary hypertension associated with left heart disease (PH-LHD), particularly the ongoing European studies. PADN is gaining international recognition through robust evidence-based medical evidence, providing truly accessible and practical innovative solutions for patients worldwide.
