BioTree Biotech Collaborative Research Published in

International Renowned Academic Journal

Recently, a paper led by Professor Li Xin, chief expert of Guangdong's medical aid to Tibet and emergency department physician at Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital, together with the research team of Liu Zhipeng at BioTree Biotech's Metabolomics Technology Research Center — a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company — and multiple institutions including Nyingchi People's Hospital, was published in the international renowned academic journal Redox Biology.

The study shows that moderate-altitude exposure induces changes in serum uric acid and metabolomics profiles in humans. Both in vivo and in vitro experiments demonstrate that β-alanine intervention can improve hyperuricemia. Furthermore, a prediction model based on serum metabolites and clinical indicators can help identify the risk of asymptomatic hyperuricemia during moderate-altitude exposure. These findings may open new avenues for preventing and treating hyperuricemia and its related diseases.
