Pulnovo Medical Closes New Tens-of-Millions USD Extension Round
Qiming Venture Partners Continues Its Support
Recently, Pulnovo Medical announced the completion of a new extension round of tens of millions of USD, with Qiming Venture Partners continuing its support. This marks the second time in just three months that top global investment institutions have chosen Pulnovo Medical — following its previous round, which set the record for the largest market-driven financing in Asia's innovative medical device sector in recent years. This round both validates Pulnovo Medical's long-term strategic path and reflects how, amid global healthcare industry volatility, the scarcity and verifiability of China-born original platforms are becoming increasingly pronounced. Proceeds from this round will primarily fund Pulnovo Medical's overseas market expansion and execution, including global clinical registration, indication expansion, and deepening its industrialization system.
Since its founding in 2013, Pulnovo Medical has positioned itself as a global innovator, building a closed global loop spanning R&D, clinical, and commercial. Its original core technology, Percutaneous Pulmonary Artery Denervation (PADN), has been incorporated into authoritative domestic and international guidelines multiple times, and has successfully obtained EU CE-MDR certification; in 2023, it received FDA Humanitarian Use Device (HUD) designation and National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) marketing approval; in March 2025, its second-generation PHD360 radiofrequency ablation system was also formally approved by the NMPA. Recently, following efficient adaptation for Qwen3 series model inference, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Biren Technology announced the completion of training adaptation and optimization for the flagship Qwen3-235B-A22B model. With this, Biren Technology has achieved efficient full-stack training and inference support for the Qwen3 series models on Chinese GPU platforms.
Building on key technologies and successful experience from its earlier adaptation of DeepSeek-V3 full-scale training, Biren Technology further upgraded to rapidly achieve training adaptation and optimization support for the flagship Qwen3-235B-A22B model with the maximum parameter count. Based on Biren Technology's self-developed Megatron-LM-BR training plugin, users can achieve seamless out-of-the-box operation for large models with zero code modifications.

DeepWise Partners with Geely Auto
Ushering in an Era of "Targeted-Drug-Level Precision Control" for Battery Safety
At DeepWise's 2025 Developer Conference, DeepWise and Geely Auto announced the joint establishment of a "New Energy + AI" laboratory. For the first time, the two parties are introducing the "AI + molecular simulation" technology system from the biopharmaceutical field into power battery R&D, marking the global power battery industry's formal entry into a new phase of "atomic-level precision research and development."
Leveraging Geely Auto's self-developed large model matrix and DeepWise's "AI for Science" technology matrix, the two sides will pioneer a new paradigm of "targeted-drug-level" power battery R&D. CanSinoBIO's Inhaled Tuberculosis Vaccine Approved for Clinical Trials in Indonesia
CanSinoBIO (688185.SH, 06185.HK), a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company, has received clinical trial approval from Indonesia's Food and Drug Administration (BPOM) for its inhaled tuberculosis vaccine (Adenovirus Type 5 vector).
The clinical trial will investigate the safety and immunogenicity of a single dose of the inhaled tuberculosis vaccine (Adenovirus Type 5 vector) in adults aged 18-49.
The vaccine has completed Phase 1a and 1b clinical trials in Canada. Clinical data demonstrated the candidate vaccine's safety and efficacy as a BCG booster vaccine, as well as the superiority of mucosal immunity.

ArkBio's Next-Generation Anti-Fibrotic Drug AK3280 Achieves Positive Results in Phase 2 Clinical Study for Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis
ArkBio, a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company, announced positive results from the Phase 2 confirmatory clinical study of its next-generation anti-fibrotic drug AK3280. The study was led by Professor Dai Huaping of the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine at China-Japan Friendship Hospital, with participation from 31 clinical centers nationwide.
AK3280 is a next-generation anti-fibrotic drug optimized based on existing idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) drug structures. Preclinical data showed stronger anti-fibrotic effects and improved pharmacokinetics, with potential to ameliorate the gastrointestinal tolerability and other toxic side effects of existing drugs. Three previous Phase 1 clinical studies have confirmed its favorable safety, tolerability, and human pharmacokinetics.
Through rigorous multicenter randomized double-blind design, this study systematically validated AK3280's safety, tolerability, and clinical efficacy in Chinese IPF patients for the first time. These results not only suggest AK3280's potential to improve lung function and respiratory function, but its distinctive safety and tolerability profile also make long-term administration possible, giving it potential to become a future standard IPF treatment. This achievement provides a new scientific pathway for addressing the IPF treatment dilemma and furnishes critical medical evidence for Chinese IPF innovative drugs to participate in global fibrotic disease treatment.

MediLink Therapeutics' YL217 Project Receives Clinical Trial Approval in China
MediLink Therapeutics, a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company, announced that its self-developed antibody-drug conjugate YL217 has received approval for its Investigational New Drug (IND) application from the Center for Drug Evaluation, NMPA in China. Previously, YL217's U.S. IND was approved by the FDA.
YL217 is the 11th antibody-drug conjugate based on MediLink Therapeutics' proprietary TMALIN® technology platform to enter clinical development.

Ding Tai Drug Research Group Facilitates SynerK's SNK-2726 Injection Clinical Approval in China and First Patient Dosing
SynerK, a partner of Ding Tai Drug Research Group (a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company), announced that its first oligonucleotide (siRNA) candidate drug SNK-2726 — developed using its proprietary novel nucleic acid drug delivery technology platform GalNexus — has received clinical trial approval from the Center for Drug Evaluation, NMPA (application number CXHL2500135) and the FDA, and has successfully completed first patient enrollment and dosing in its China Phase 1 clinical trial.
The Ding Tai Drug Research Group team completed SNK-2726's non-clinical studies and registration application work in a compliant, high-quality, and efficient manner, rapidly facilitating the product's China-U.S. IND filings and significantly accelerating the drug development process.

The Step1X-3D model has a total parameter count of 4.8B (1.3B geometry module, 3.5B texture module). With its solid data foundation and advanced 3D-native architecture, it can generate high-fidelity, controllable 3D content. Step1X-3D goes beyond visual appeal to pursue practical utility and controllability, aiming to provide a powerful and reliable technical engine for 3D content creation.

CANbridge Therapeutics Announces Approval of Velaglucerase Alfa for Injection, a Class 1 New Drug for Type I and Type III Gaucher Disease, in China
Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company CANbridge Therapeutics (01228.HK) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, CANbridge (Shanghai) Biopharmaceuticals, has received approval from China's National Medical Products Administration for its velaglucerase alfa for injection (brand name: Geruning). Geruning is China's first domestically developed long-term enzyme replacement therapy for patients aged 12 and older with Type I and Type III Gaucher disease. As a Class 1 innovative drug, it can fully replace comparable imported products and will significantly improve drug accessibility for Chinese patients.
This marks not only the third rare disease treatment drug launched by CANbridge Therapeutics, following Hyrimoz and Maribavir, but also the company's first self-developed product poised for commercialization.

01/ WeRide Launches Fully Driverless Robotaxi Trial Operations in Abu Dhabi
Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company WeRide (NASDAQ: WRD) announced the launch of fully driverless Robotaxi trial operations in Abu Dhabi, establishing the Middle East's first fully unmanned Robotaxi fleet. Starting in Q2 2025, WeRide's Robotaxi fleet will conduct driverless trials on public roads in Abu Dhabi without safety operators — another milestone in the emirate's smart mobility infrastructure.
Meanwhile, WeRide has expanded its Robotaxi service coverage in Abu Dhabi to include high-demand areas such as Al Maryah Island and Al Reem Island.

Recently, Professors Xu Xianzeng and Yang Jianhong from the Cardiology Department of Puer People's Hospital in Yunnan Province performed a pulsed field ablation for persistent atrial fibrillation, supported by the hospital's Anesthesiology team. The procedure was conducted under the guidance of MicroPort EP MedTech's (688617.SH) self-developed magnetic-electro-anatomical 3D mapping system, using the company's AForce Plus magnetic-electro-anatomical pressure-sensing pulsed field ablation catheter.
Professor Yang Jianhong noted that compared to other pulsed field products, MicroPort EP MedTech's 3D pulsed pressure PFA product can perform pulmonary vein isolation for atrial fibrillation while also enabling mapping and ablation of complex atrial flutter and certain supraventricular tachycardias post-atrial fibrillation surgery, with good therapeutic outcomes. During the procedure, ablation time is shorter, results are significant and safe, the ablation catheter requires no saline irrigation — reducing cardiac and renal burden — and due to the high tissue selectivity of pulsed fields, there is no esophageal injury, reducing postoperative dependence on proton pump inhibitor medications. Compared to traditional radiofrequency ablation, it offers significant advantages in surgical efficiency, safety, and perioperative management.

Antai Micro-Precision's microsurgical robot features multiple degrees of freedom in a compact form factor, enabling rapid deployment in any operating room. Its distal end can accommodate instruments including the world's smallest forceps — just 2 mm in diameter with 7 degrees of freedom — enabling higher-precision manipulation. The system can achieve anastomosis of blood vessels and lymphatic vessels below 0.3 mm in diameter.

At the 44th Annual Meeting of the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO 2025), a team led by Professor Junfang Yan at Peking Union Medical College Hospital presented results from a prospective Phase 3 clinical trial validating the efficacy and safety of a radioprotective isolation hydrogel developed by Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Raining Biotech in cervical cancer patients.
As a leading international advance in cervical cancer radiotherapy, this research drew significant attention from overseas clinical specialists, who highly praised the product's innovation and substantial clinical value.
The study by Professor Fuquan Zhang and Professor Junfang Yan's team at Peking Union Medical College Hospital focused on polyethylene glycol (PEG) hydrogel application in cervical cancer radiotherapy. Through minimally invasive injection, the hydrogel is implanted between the tumor and rectum to establish a stable separation space, substantially reducing radiation dose to the rectum and other adjacent healthy tissue — effectively lowering or preventing radiation-induced rectal injury.

The FDA recently conducted a four-day unannounced inspection of the Shanghai large-molecule bioanalytical laboratory of Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Frontage. The lab passed with "zero deficiencies."
The inspection covered laboratory quality systems, facilities and environment, personnel qualifications, project execution, raw data records, and data integrity — a comprehensive, no-blind-spot review. The KPMG China Third Biotech Innovation 50 list was recently announced. The selection not only provides a platform for industry leaders to showcase their achievements, but also offers deep insight into the innovative resilience and growth potential of China's biotech sector. Qiming Venture Partners portfolio companies Shize Biotech, Touche Future, and Ze'an Biopharmaceutical made the list.
