Qiming Venture Partners and Multiple Portfolio Companies Support Hong Kong Disaster Relief

A level-five fire broke out on the afternoon of November 26 in multiple residential buildings at Wang Fu Court, Tai Po Estate, in Hong Kong's New Territories, causing significant casualties and drawing widespread concern. To support affected residents through the crisis and facilitate post-disaster reconstruction, Qiming Venture Partners and several of its portfolio companies responded swiftly, making generous donations of funds and supplies to fulfill their corporate social responsibility through concrete action.

Qiming Venture Partners has donated HK$3 million to the "Tai Po Wang Fu Court Relief Fund" established by the Hong Kong SAR Government. The firm extends its deepest condolences to families affected by this major fire, and expresses its highest respect to the firefighters and rescue personnel battling on the front lines, thanking them for their professional dedication and selfless sacrifice in this time of crisis. Qiming Venture Partners hopes this donation will help alleviate the difficulties facing affected residents and assist them in returning to normal life as soon as possible; the firm also calls on more social forces to join in the effort to achieve genuine community reconstruction.

Gan & Lee Pharmaceuticals Exclusively Licenses Bofangelutide to Leading Latin American Pharmaceutical Company PC

Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Gan & Lee Pharmaceuticals (603087.SH) has officially announced an exclusive licensing and commercial supply agreement with Productos Científicos S.A. de C.V. (hereinafter "PC"), a well-known pharmaceutical enterprise in Latin America, for bofangelutide (development code: GZR18) — the world's most advanced glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist (GLP-1RA) biweekly formulation, independently developed by Gan & Lee.

Under the agreement terms, Gan & Lee has granted PC exclusive rights to develop and commercialize bofangelutide injection in Latin America (including key countries such as Mexico and Brazil) for a fee, launching an entirely new commercialization layout for Gan & Lee's innovative drug bofangelutide in the region.

Gan & Lee Chief Commercial Officer Kai Du and Key Account Director Dr. Dhaval Soneji jointly stated that this strategic partnership with PC marks a new phase in the company's business expansion in the Latin American market. WeRide and Uber Launch Fully Driverless Robotaxi Commercial Operations in Abu Dhabi

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company and global leading autonomous driving technology company WeRide (NASDAQ: WRD, 00800.HK) and international mobility service giant Uber (NYSE: UBER) announced the official launch of L4 fully driverless Robotaxi commercial operations in Abu Dhabi. This marks the first deployment of fully driverless Robotaxi operations in the Middle East, and Abu Dhabi becomes the first city globally outside the United States to offer fully driverless Robotaxi services on the Uber platform. This commercial deployment is supported by the first city-level fully driverless Robotaxi operating license issued outside the United States globally.

This milestone marks a critical step for the UAE in large-scale deployment of autonomous mobility solutions, made possible through the continued collaboration between WeRide, Uber, the Abu Dhabi Integrated Transport Centre (ITC), and fleet operator Tawasul.

Effective immediately, public-facing fully driverless Robotaxi commercial operations will first launch on Yas Island, with no safety operator in the vehicle. Passengers can be matched with a WeRide Robotaxi through Uber X or Uber Comfort, or directly hail one through the newly launched "Autonomous" dedicated category — the first autonomous driving-exclusive option Uber has rolled out globally.

UBTECH and Zhuoshi Technology Enter Strategic Partnership

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company UBTECH (9880.HK) and Zhuoshi Technology formally signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement in Shenzhen. The collaboration will focus on the core direction of "industry-specific models + Embodied Artificial Intelligence," jointly promoting the deployment of industry large models + humanoid robots across multiple sectors. The two parties plan to deploy 10,000 robots and jointly expand billions in commercial orders within the next five years — a first in the industry — signaling that their partnership has already moved beyond the "proof of concept" stage and directly into commercial deployment of "large models + robots."

As the first humanoid robot stock, UBTECH has built full-stack humanoid robot technical capabilities. Its 2025 humanoid robot order volume has already reached 1.3 billion yuan, continuing to lead global breakthroughs in humanoid robot core technology and commercialization. Zhuoshi Technology is a leading innovative enterprise in AI industry large models and intelligent applications, with a core team drawn from top AI ranks, possessing leading capabilities in large model algorithms, data governance, and commercial deployment of intelligent agents and terminal products.

Belief BioMed's BBM-C101 Gene Therapy for Cervical HSIL Receives China IND Approval

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Belief BioMed, an innovative enterprise focused on cutting-edge gene therapy, announced that the clinical trial application (IND) for its gene therapy drug BBM-C101 injection for cervical high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (HSIL) has been approved by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA).

Dr. Xiao Xiao, co-founder, chairman, and chief scientific officer of Belief BioMed, stated: "In this golden autumn season of abundant harvest, we share with joy and honor the good news that BBM-C101 injection's clinical trial application has been approved in China. We sincerely thank the NMPA for its efficient review of this IND application, and also thank the Belief team for its unremitting efforts and dedication. Going forward, we will fully advance the clinical research process, striving to provide this novel gene therapy option for HSIL treatment at the earliest opportunity."

This clinical trial is an open-label, multiple-dose study designed to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and efficacy of subcutaneous BBM-C101 injection in female patients aged 18-45 with confirmed HPV16 and/or HPV18 infection-related HSIL. BBM-C101 uses a non-replicating recombinant adenovirus (rAd) as a vector, which can co-express HPV antigens and immune activation factors in host cells, potentially offering a gene therapy option for patients with HPV16 and/or HPV18-related HSIL.

Gan & Lee Pharmaceuticals Initiates China's First Monthly-Dosing GLP-1RA Phase III Weight Loss Study, GRADUAL-3

Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Gan & Lee Pharmaceuticals (603087.SH) announced that its self-developed glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist (GLP-1RA) bofanglutide (development code: GZR18) injection has officially initiated a Phase III clinical trial (GRADUAL-3) for the obesity or overweight indication. This is the third large-scale Phase III clinical study for bofanglutide in the obesity/overweight field. The study will employ a once-every-four-weeks subcutaneous injection monthly formulation regimen, aiming to explore the clinical potential of bofanglutide injection in weight control and maintenance.

This study (Clinical Trial Registration and Information Disclosure Platform: CTR20254659) aims to explore the effect and safety of bofanglutide injection on body weight after 24 weeks of continuous treatment with once-monthly dosing. The study is led by principal investigator Professor Ji Linong of Peking University People's Hospital, with the primary endpoints being the change in body weight from baseline and percentage change after 24 weeks of treatment.

Previously, for the obesity or overweight indication, Gan & Lee Pharmaceuticals had already initiated two Phase III clinical studies (GRADUAL-1 and GRADUAL-2). In the GRADUAL-2 study, bofanglutide injection became the first GLP-1RA globally to conduct a head-to-head parallel controlled study against Wegovy® (Semaglutide 2.4mg) in Chinese adults with obesity/overweight with or without type 2 diabetes, aiming to comprehensively evaluate and validate the efficacy and safety of bofanglutide injection in patients with obesity or overweight, and assess its comprehensive improvement capabilities for different metabolic indicators and cardiovascular risk factors. The Phase III clinical study initiated this time (GRADUAL-3) will further explore the potential of bofanglutide injection for weight control and maintenance with once-monthly dosing, aiming to improve patient medication adherence through lower injection frequency and more convenient treatment methods, and address the current challenges of weight rebound and suboptimal efficacy with long-term GLP-1RA therapy.

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Insilico Medicine, a clinical-stage biotech company powered by generative artificial intelligence, Insilico Medicine today announced the nomination of ISM3830, a potential best-in-class, oral, highly selective CBLB inhibitor with an AI-enabled novel scaffold, as a preclinical candidate compound targeting treatment of multiple advanced tumors.

Recently, UBTECH (9880.HK), a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company, officially launched the newest addition to its Meng UU family — "Youzai." 2025 Yao Medical International Health Forum Successfully Held

Recently, Yao Medical, a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company, successfully held its International Health Forum in Shanghai themed "International Healthcare • China Innovation." The forum invited renowned domestic and international medical experts, as well as entrepreneurs and senior executives from technology, finance, education, and other sectors, for insightful sharing and dialogue on new trends and innovative practices in global health development.

Axera Semiconductor Appears at IC China 2025

The 22nd China International Semiconductor Expo (IC China 2025) was successfully held November 23-25 at the Beijing National Convention Center. At the "Artificial Intelligence and Large Model Chip Forum," Axera Semiconductor, a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company, saw its Co-founder and Vice President Jianwei Liu invited to deliver a keynote speech titled "AI Processors: Accelerating Edge Infrastructure Intelligence," sharing the company's practices and perspectives in edge-side and end-side AI chips.

HyperStrong Successfully Delivers 420+ MWh Energy Storage Project in the United States

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company HyperStrong (688411.SH) officially announced that its US subsidiary reached energy storage project cooperation agreements with multiple enterprises including a well-known US independent power producer (IPP) this September. The company will provide energy storage system solutions for energy storage power station projects located in California and Georgia, along with long-term warranty services and full-lifecycle after-sales support. As of the reporting date, all supplied products for the projects have been delivered on schedule, totaling over 420 MWh. The successful fulfillment of this cooperation project marks HyperStrong's key breakthrough in the US market, representing an important milestone in the company's internationalization strategy for the Americas region.

This cooperation project deploys HyperStrong's HyperBlock III 5 MWh liquid-cooled energy storage system. After commissioning, it will focus on the energy dispatch needs of grid-scale energy storage stations, providing efficient peak shaving and valley filling, frequency regulation, and peak regulation services — helping alleviate local grid supply-demand fluctuations, optimizing regional renewable energy consumption efficiency, and ensuring power supply for nearly 20,000 households daily. After the project enters commercial operation, HyperStrong will continue providing long-term warranties and comprehensive localized after-sales services. The 2025 OpenAtom Developer Conference — openKylin AI Technology Forum and Technical Committee was successfully held in Beijing. At the conference, the 2025 openKylin Community Annual Technical Contributor Awards ceremony was grandly held, with the "openKylin Arm version CIX feature integration" project receiving the openKylin Annual Most Influential Project award.

This openKylin Community Annual Technical Contribution Awards selection aims to honor outstanding contributors who have actively driven community technological innovation over the past year.
