Shengshu Technology's Vidu Provides Chief Technical Support for China's First AI Hyper-Realistic Theatrical Film

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Shengshu Technology announced that Sanxingdui: Future Past, a 100-minute sci-fi film produced by Bona Film Group, officially hit theaters on October 23, with Shengshu Technology's video generation model Vidu serving as the film's chief technical support. This is China's first AI hyper-realistic theatrical film to receive a public screening license from the National Film Administration. All characters in the film are AI-generated — there are no live actors, nor digital replicas of real actors.

In production, Bona Film Group's self-developed AIGMS Boka Cloud Studio collaborated with the Vidu video model to complete the full pipeline from storyboarding to image generation to video production, establishing a foundational architecture for AI-driven industrial filmmaking. Rather than pursuing photorealism alone, Vidu emphasizes cinematic expressiveness: whether characters can convey emotion, whether movements carry dramatic tension, and whether shots achieve narrative rhythm — these remain the model's continued focus. Previously, Vidu was the first to launch multi-subject reference video generation capabilities, achieving multiple industry-firsts in character consistency, complex dynamics, and camera controllability. This theatrical release marks AI video generation technology's leap from short clips to complete, controllable long-form cinematic storytelling.

Infinigence AI Jointly Releases Embodied Intelligence Reinforcement Learning Open-Source Framework RLinf v0.4

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company and AI-native infrastructure company Infinigence AI announced the official release of RLinf v0.4, the world's first large-scale reinforcement learning training open-source framework for embodied intelligence, jointly developed with Tsinghua University, Beijing Zhongguancun Academy, and other institutions. The new version focuses on reinforcement learning needs in real physical scenarios, with systematic upgrades across four directions: "LEGO-style real robot systems, high-efficiency real robot algorithms, full-modality model support, and domestic computing infrastructure." It abstracts robotic arms, dexterous hands, cameras, mobile bases, and other hardware into plug-and-play modules, with upper-layer task and policy code requiring no changes when swapping bodies or configurations. New real-robot algorithms include online policy distillation and asynchronous real-time control, with online policy distillation requiring only 30 training steps to improve model task success rates from 67% to over 96%, and asynchronous real-time control compressing inference waiting time to approximately 2 milliseconds. The framework also integrates five cutting-edge world action models and VLA models including NVIDIA Cosmos3.

For computing adaptation, RLinf v0.4 adds support for Kunlun Core, Biren Technology (06082.HK), MetaX, and Intel XPU, and can now run seamlessly on NVIDIA, AMD, and six major domestic and heterogeneous accelerators. On Huawei Ascend platforms, end-to-end computing efficiency for 10 mainstream embodied models reaches over 75% of A100 performance. In ecosystem and academic terms, RLinf has been officially admitted to the PyTorch ecosystem and become the officially integrated reinforcement learning training engine for NVIDIA Isaac Lab v3.0. Two research results from the team were accepted to the top robotics learning conference CoRL 2026, and another paper was accepted to the top networking and systems conference NSDI 2027.

Sharpa Releases Fingertip Tactile-Enabled Real Robot Dexterous Hand Manipulation Dataset SharpaDex v1.0

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company and embodied intelligence company Sharpa officially released SharpaDex v1.0. This fingertip tactile-enabled real robot dexterous hand manipulation dataset sets a new scale record among publicly available datasets of its kind, and is now openly accessible on Hugging Face. The dataset contains approximately 300 hours of real robot manipulation data, encompassing 28,993 demonstrations, 59 tasks, and over 32.39 million frames. Data was collected by a dual-arm robot paired with dual Sharpa Wave (W01) dexterous hands, with each frame synchronously recording tactile information from 10 fingertips, multi-view vision, joint states, and action information, along with task descriptions and fine-grained language annotations.

The core feature of SharpaDex v1.0 is that tactile data comes from genuine, effective physical interaction: in approximately 64.9% of data frames, at least one finger is in contact, corresponding to roughly 195 hours of manipulation time, with over 418,000 fingertip contact events identified; approximately 18.3% of frames record both hands simultaneously contacting objects. Tasks cover flexible object manipulation, tool use, precision insertion, screwing, and granular material manipulation, among other scenarios, such as ironing clothes, prying nails, pipette liquid transfer, and battery installation, with approximately 83% of duration coming from complex dexterous manipulation tasks. The dataset also constructs a three-tier language annotation system of "task—subtask—atomic action," providing a data foundation for research in tactile representation learning, visuo-tactile fusion, and dexterous manipulation policy learning.

Microtide Biotechnology's In Vivo CAR-T Therapy GT801 Receives FDA Orphan Drug Designation

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Microtide Biotechnology announced that GT801, the core pipeline product of its in vivo CAR-T platform, has been granted Orphan Drug Designation (ODD) by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA). GT801 is an investigational in vivo CAR-T product based on mRNA and T cell-targeting lipid nanoparticle (LNP) delivery technology, which generates CAR-T cells capable of recognizing and eliminating CD19-positive B cells directly in the patient's body by delivering mRNA encoding an anti-CD19 chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) to the patient's T cells.

At the 2026 American Society of Gene and Cell Therapy (ASGCT) Annual Meeting, GT801 disclosed preliminary clinical study results in autoimmune disease patients via poster presentation: both AIHA patients treated with GT801 achieved complete remission (CR), with sustained peripheral B cell depletion and improvements in hemoglobin levels and other indicators observed. Under FDA regulations, products receiving orphan drug designation may qualify for clinical trial tax credits, waived user fees for marketing applications, and other incentives, with the opportunity to receive seven years of market exclusivity upon approval. This designation provides important policy support for GT801's international development targeting autoimmune diseases.

Adagene Announces Positive Topline Data from China Phase II Clinical Trial of LP-005 for PNH

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Adagene (01779.HK) announced positive topline data from its China Phase II clinical trial of LP-005, a self-developed dual-function antibody fusion protein, for the treatment of paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH). LP-005 simultaneously targets C3b and C5 in the proximal and terminal complement cascade, inhibiting all three complement pathways — classical, alternative, and lectin — with a longer half-life than existing therapies, enabling once-every-four-weeks intravenous administration. It is the first product from Adagene's dual-function antibody platform.

This multicenter, randomized, open-label Phase II trial enrolled 30 PNH patients across three dose cohorts: 900mg, 1200mg, and 1500mg. Data showed that at Week 12, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) decreased significantly from baseline across all dose cohorts, with hemolysis control rates of 100% in both the 1200mg and 1500mg cohorts, transfusion independence achieved in all three cohorts, and no breakthrough hemolysis observed. At Week 24, 85.7% of patients in the 1500mg cohort achieved hemoglobin increase ≥2 g/dL while remaining transfusion-independent. No treatment-related serious adverse events were reported during the study, with overall good safety and tolerability. These results support further clinical development of LP-005.
