BIP — "build in bilibili · AI Creation Open Competition," a unique AI competition on Bilibili, has entered its final sprint.
The competition sends a clear signal: non-professional developers and one-person companies are becoming a new force; stories of starting from zero followers and breaking out through product quality are everywhere here.
In the rotating top-ten coin leaderboard, some creators have fewer than 10,000 followers.
The submissions are remarkably diverse. Below, we've selected seven standout entries from the current pool, each with its own distinctive character.
There's a "Zhou Li-compliant" translator built by a college student; a night-vision baby monitor cobbled together by a new dad for 24/7 overnight care; a "space-time telephone" made by a director who used AI to recreate his deceased father's voice; and someone who actually built an entire world with AI!
These stories range from big to small, from playful to hardcore, from heartwarming to commercial — one even made $170 in real money within three days of launch. You can search "BIP" directly on Bilibili to discover more fascinating works.
01. The AI Drill Sergeant Who Points a Gun at You to Study
Creator @Rebellious Bluetooth burned through 4 billion tokens to build an AI officer — to supervise his own studying.

It's called "Winter Vigilance Bureau."
A website. Click "Start Labor," and an AI drill sergeant armed with a gun and whip will burst through the door at random intervals to check on you. "Rebellious Bluetooth" says his motivation was simple: he'd sit down, and within minutes he'd be reaching for his phone or dozing off; the Pomodoro timer rang three times while his progress bar stayed stuck on line one...
He thought: what if someone could watch over me? Might as well build an AI drill sergeant!
If you're studying seriously, the AI officer confirms and leaves, taking no more than two seconds, without breaking your flow.
But if he catches you on your phone, away from your desk, or sneaking snacks, he gets furious and docks you one red star. You only get three stars total.

If you lose all three, you're discharged with a record on file. Three records in one day, and you get thrown in the dungeon...
So how do you clock out normally? Accumulate 25 minutes of focused time, and the "Betray the Organization" button automatically becomes "Honorable Discharge."

In the Winter Vigilance Bureau's design, study time also feeds into leaderboards and an achievement system. Check-ins and tasks earn military coins, which you can spend at the quartermaster to unlock drill sergeant animations and barracks decorations.
If even the Pomodoro technique has lost its power over you, maybe this AI drill sergeant is worth a shot?
Currently on patrol — Nestor Volkov. Next up — German officer Klaus Wepper, already in production.
02. This AI MOD Lets You Experience More Diverse Lives In-Game
Creator @Mafuyu33 built a game mod to make up for a childhood regret — using AI.
More than a decade ago playing Minecraft, Mafuyu's biggest regret was not knowing how to code. To dig a basement, he had to mine block by block for an entire afternoon.

He once bought a 5cm-thick JavaScript book. "As expected, I crashed on entry." He didn't want to learn something that complex — he just wanted to add one new feature to a game...
In 2023, ChatGPT gave him hope. Following tutorials haltingly, he made his first mod. But using AI to tweak something as small as firearm ammo count took him six or seven hours of bug-fixing.
AI is powerful, but we're still missing a toolkit that lets ordinary people pick it up easily. Mafuyu's mod aims to change that.

Players simply tell the AI their ideas: what gear to add, what terrain to modify, what gameplay to create — and the AI automatically generates the corresponding game module.
For example: growing and shrinking in Black Myth: Wukong, wearing Steve's head in Baldur's Gate, deploying barrier fields in Minecraft...

"Experiencing a game means experiencing a different life." In Mafuyu's view, every player has different experiences, and should have ways to express themselves.
03. 24/7 Night-Vision Baby Monitor
Creator @Tongji Zihao built an AI-powered "night-vision baby monitor" — putting an 8-billion-parameter model to work pulling all-nighters for childcare.
Six months ago, Zihao welcomed his baby, Zhang Kaishang. To avoid waking his wife while still rousing himself in time, he cobbled together this night-vision monitor. It worked surprisingly well.
A $15 infrared night-vision camera, a thumbnail-sized ESP32 wristband, and an open-source multimodal AI model from JD.com — combined into a 24/7 sleepless baby monitor.
The AI's real superpower isn't understanding images — it's "watching and speaking simultaneously."
Give it an initial prompt, and it continuously monitors the crib. Baby moves, face gets covered, mouth or nose blocked — it immediately speaks an alert, more attentive than the actual father.

Point the camera at the kitchen, and it monitors for fire hazards:

Point it at a fishing float, and it helps anglers judge when a fish bites:
It can also monitor road traffic:

Of course, current AI still occasionally false-alarms and hallucinates — humans still need to have the final say.
In the future, such multimodal AI won't be limited to baby monitoring; it will connect to more scenarios in our lives. From watching babies to watching everything, AI can be the sentinel that never dozes off.
04. Zhou Li-Compliant or Not?
What if AI learned "Zhou Li style"? Creator @NFS360 built a "Zhou Li-compliant" translator.

NFS360 is an undergraduate in software engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The "Zhou Li-compliant" translator was inspired by comment sections he saw while browsing Bilibili's "Great Zhou Li Era" videos.
Netizens were discussing modern topics in ancient ritualistic tones. Others laughed and scrolled past; he had a different thought: could he teach this internet meme to AI, get it to learn this "Zhou Li style"?
So, using Codex, he started building a website, integrating models, designing prompts... In just one day, a meme that had lived only in comment sections became an AI product anyone could try.

To make the translation more than random "thees" and "thous," he studied top comments on "Great Zhou Li Era" videos, then pored through Rites of Zhou, The Analects, Mencius, Memorial on the Departure for the War, and Peach Blossom Spring to distill a set of expressive patterns.

You can ask directly: How would one ask "is this melon ripe?" in a Zhou Li-compliant manner?
It replies: "Dare I ask, was this melon grown from proper earth? Were ripening agents employed? If it has ripened just so, I shall gladly compensate at market rate."

He later built an "Anti-Zhou Li" translator too — converting Zhou Li-compliant language back to modern vernacular.
05. An AI "Space-Time Telephone"
Creator @Wonderful Rabi — Du Qian'a, to properly say goodbye to his father who passed away suddenly, used AI to record his father's voice and thoughts, building a "space-time telephone."

In early 2025, his father died suddenly. The day before, they'd spoken on the phone; his father said a lightbulb was out and asked him to bring one when he came home. He never imagined this would be their final conversation.

He wanted a proper farewell with his father. So he decided to do something with AI.
During the first test, he sat alone in a conference room, phone in hand, waiting for the AI to connect. A few busy tones, then from the other end: "Hello, son."
In that moment, he couldn't stop the tears. He knew the voice on the other end wasn't truly his father; once someone is gone, they're gone. But the longing was real, the love was real, and the words left unsaid were real too.

This "space-time telephone" itself may not be about resurrecting anyone — it's about giving the living an emotional outlet. A place for love and regret that came too late to find somewhere to rest.

06. An AI Audio Tool That Made $170 in 3 Days
Creator @Recently Used built a Mac utility with AI — Tutti, a multi-device audio tool.

He (Barry) usually connects an external display to his Mac, sometimes a Bluetooth speaker too, but Macs by default only output audio to one device at a time.
He wanted multiple devices playing simultaneously, to feel the soundscape. He scoured every app on the market — none solved the problem. "Might as well build one myself."

With Tutti, you simply check off devices in the panel, and they sync playback.

You can watch movies with a friend using two AirPods; or split two regular speakers into left and right channels for headphone-like stereo.
Since launching, Tutti earned over $170 in three days — and got a spontaneous shoutout from a design influencer with 100,000 followers.
07. Someone Built an AI World: You Are God, and Judge
Creator @OhCaptainMyCaptain used AI to build a world that grows through Bilibili's danmu and coins.

Everyone who's ever sent a danmu on Bilibili has probably thought: what if danmu could change the world? But in reality, danmu are just text scrolling across the screen — they change nothing.
Now, someone has built a "danmu-driven world" with AI.
Here, viewers are "gods," and danmu are "oracles." Every message you send literally reshapes this world in real time. Send "rain" — it rains in everyone's world. Send "aurora" — the sky ignites with northern lights. Send "tear open the sky" — the heavens actually split...

Toss a coin, and you personally amplify the miracle. Coins are incense offerings; a like-coin-favorite triple combo is "creation incense."
Ten thousand incense, and a god statue is erected. Its base will be engraved with the names of the first 100 "gods," never to fade. And particularly well-crafted messages will be permanently carved into stone tablets in this world, becoming part of this AI world's history.

On August 20, this "world" will face its first "Judgment." Its creator and judge belongs to every "god" — all of you.
Now, back to BIP itself: What kind of competition is BIP?
On June 5 this year, BIP — "build in bilibili · AI Creation Open Competition" officially launched.
Compared to other AI competitions, its distinction is this: no competing on model parameters, no business pitch decks, no roadshows. The only thing contestants must do: film your AI creation process as a video series on Bilibili.

One fascinating aspect of this BIP competition: the contestants and works are remarkably diverse. It's something like an interest club — inclusive, diverse, fun, creative. Not only are the participants from all walks of life, but the works are completely unrestricted and dazzlingly varied.
Whether you're a developer or designer, programmer or stay-at-home parent — these identities and backgrounds don't matter. As long as you've built a software or hardware product with AI that you believe has value, you can enter.

Here, even niche needs can find their audience. Because viewers aren't just spectators — they hold the "deciding power." They select the final winners through coin votes.
That's right: this BIP's judges aren't external experts, but real Bilibili users. They've watched your videos, understand your products, and are willing to spend coins supporting you.
This competition design also naturally turns danmu and comment sections into a product demand pool. Users offer suggestions, report bugs, even contribute product ideas while following your series — creators iterate based on feedback.

Bilibili has also put up substantial prizes for this BIP — a $1.3 million prize pool; plus hundred-million-level traffic support from Bilibili, all directed toward this AI competition.

Coin vote shortlist; as of August 6
Finally, BIP's submission deadline is 11:59 PM on August 20 — less than 13 days remaining.
