Boyuan Chen

Boyuan Chen (陈博远, born 2004) is a co-founder of Inverse Matrix Technology (逆矩阵科技), a Beijing-based startup building world foundation models and reinforcement learning, established in February 2026 . At the time of founding, he was a fourth-year undergraduate at Peking University's Yuanpei College, where he ranked first in his AI concentration . He founded the company alongside Ji Jiaming (吉嘉铭, born 1998), a Peking University School of Intelligence Science and Technology and Institute for Artificial Intelligence alumnus who serves as core founder . Inverse Matrix raised a multi-million-dollar round led by Hillhouse Capital and Peking University-affiliated funds in early 2026 . The company has since been grouped among a cohort of Chinese startups—including AgiBot, AI2Robotics, and Luming Robotics—working to move embodied AI beyond demonstration-stage capabilities .
