Challenjers Venture Capital

Challenjers Venture Capital (挑战者创投) is a consumer-focused investment fund founded by Tang Binsen, the entrepreneur behind beverage brand Genki Forest . The firm takes its name from a mission to "challenge giants" and backs founders building long-term consumer brands, as managing partner & CEO Zhou Hua put it in late 2024: "invest in good products, believe in young people" .

Its portfolio mixes domestic and overseas bets. It was an early backer of cheese brand Cheese Doctor (奶酪博士), joining Sequoia and others across multiple rounds , and in September 2022 took a 20%-plus stake in Alexander Wang through a secondary share purchase alongside apparel group Youngor — a rare opening for a fund in high-end fashion, which Zhou called "an opportunity that is truly hard to come by" . The firm has also remained active when consumer sentiment cooled: as 暗涌Waves noted in 2022, Challenjers kept deploying even as peers warned spending could get colder .
