Dongfeng Nissan

Dongfeng Nissan is a Chinese automotive joint venture that has partnered with autonomous driving chipmaker Horizon Robotics on mass-produced intelligent vehicles. In November 2023, the two companies launched the Qichen VX6, the first mass-production model powered by Horizon's Journey chip in a joint-venture brand—a milestone 5Y Capital framed as Horizon's "first breakthrough" enabling a Chinese chip inside a JV OEM vehicle . The cooperation traces back to at least late 2022, when Dongfeng Nissan's Qichen brand agreed to adopt Horizon's Journey 3 chip and Mono 3 perception solution for multiple new-energy models, with the first vehicle expected in 2023 .
