Innovusion

Innovusion is a global LiDAR manufacturer founded in November 2016, with its core team drawn from top universities including Peking University, Tsinghua, MIT, and UC Berkeley . The company positions itself as an "image-grade" LiDAR provider, building perception systems around the idea of seeing farther and more clearly—its flagship Falcon (猎鹰) architecture became the standard sensor for NIO's ET7 autonomous-driving system . Gaorong Ventures led Innovusion's angel round in 2016 and participated in its Series A, with the company later closing a $66 million B+ round in August 2021 led by Guotai Junan International Private Equity, with follow-on from Shunwei Capital and existing backers NIO Capital, Temasek, and Eight Roads .

By mid-2022, Innovusion had produced its 10,000th automotive-grade Falcon unit and expanded into mining, commercial vehicles, ride-hailing, and smart-highway applications through partnerships with firms like EACON Mining, ZhiTu Technology, and Caocao Mobility . At the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, the company—now branded in Chinese as 图达通—unveiled three new products (Falcon K3, Lark E2, and Hummingbird D1) targeting L2/L3 assisted-driving scenarios .
