Lidong Zhao is the founder, chairman, and CEO of Enflame Technology (燧原科技), a Shanghai-headquartered AI chip company that was recognized in May 2026 as one of Shanghai's "innovative enterprise headquarters" — part of a cohort covering strategic industries including integrated circuits, biotech, and AI . He spoke at the recognition ceremony, describing the designation as "affirmation and motivation" for the company's work on fully self-developed chip architecture and software stacks . Zhao is also a Tsinghua University alumnus, specifically from the Department of Electronic Engineering, which accounts for 21% of ZhenFund's Tsinghua-backed portfolio companies .
