Mirxes is a Singapore-based microRNA (miRNA) technology company focused on cancer early detection, founded in 2014 by National University of Singapore professor TOO Heng Phon and his students Zhou Lihan and Zou Ruiyang . The company has built an end-to-end platform spanning research, clinical trials, manufacturing and commercialization, with operations across Southeast Asia, China, Japan and the US . Its core technical advantage lies in a qPCR-based miRNA detection platform that claims 100x performance improvement over alternatives, enabling precise identification of miRNA differences as small as 1-2 nucleotides . According to Frost & Sullivan data cited by Gaorong Ventures, Mirxes is among the few globally with regulatory-approved molecular cancer early-screening diagnostic products . The company raised a $50 million Series D in July 2023 and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange's Main Board in May 2025 at HK$23.30 per share, opening at HK$30.55 . Gaorong Ventures, which first invested in 2018, was its earliest institutional investor .
