Mirxes

Mirxes is a Singapore-headquartered miRNA technology company founded in 2014 by National University of Singapore professor TOO Heng Phon and two of his students, Lihan Zhou and Zou Ruiyang, with its China headquarters in Zhejiang's Anji county . The company has built what it describes as an industry-leading qPCR-based miRNA detection platform, claiming performance more than 100 times greater than competing approaches, and has positioned itself as a pioneer in blood-based cancer early screening .

Its flagship product is GASTROClear™, the world's first regulatory-approved blood-based molecular diagnostic for gastric cancer screening, which received CE marking in 2017 and FDA Breakthrough Device designation in 2023; as of May 2025, the product was approved and in use in Singapore, Thailand and other Southeast Asian markets, with NMPA registration submitted in China following a 9,472-subject clinical trial . Mirxes also commercializes LUNGClear™ and Fortitude™ alongside a pipeline spanning colorectal, liver and breast cancer tests . The company has described itself as Southeast Asia's largest cancer diagnostics firm, with roughly one-third of Singapore's precision medicine market .

Gaorong Ventures, which participated in Mirxes's 2018 Series B and was its earliest institutional investor, counted the company's May 2025 Hong Kong main-board IPO among its 2025 exits . The company's $50 million Series D in July 2023 drew investors including EDBI, A*STAR, Mitsui & Co. and NuoHui Venture Fund .
