Peng Jia is the founder and CEO of Simplexity Robotics (至简动力), an embodied-intelligence startup that closed RMB 2 billion in financing across five rounds within six months as of early 2026 . The company aims to build general-purpose embodied-AI products through unified large models, efficient data loops, and reliable hardware . Peng frames the firm's differentiation as "systematization" — applying automotive-industry process discipline to hardware iteration — and emphasizes radical internal transparency, sharing strategic thinking directly with the team . He has argued that embodied intelligence must prove ROI in Western markets where labor costs justify the economics , and that true AI-native status requires AI to genuinely reduce human working hours .

Previously, Peng served as head of autonomous-driving R&D at Li Auto, where he led development of the MindVLA vision-language-action model . He has appeared alongside other prominent Chinese AI founders — including Yang Zhilin of Moonshot AI and Wang He of Galbot — at NVIDIA GTC .
