Rui Ma is a partner at FreeS Fund (峰瑞资本), where he focuses on materials and biotech investing with a concentration on computation-driven science, synthetic biology, frontier technology, and novel therapeutics . He joined the firm by 2019 as an investment vice president, was later promoted to executive director, and has served as partner since at least 2022 . His representative portfolio companies include LanzaTech (蓝晶微生物), NeuraMatrix (优脑银河), XtalPi (晶泰科技), Jitai Medicine (剂泰医药), CompMedChem (康迈迪森), ChipSage (芯宿科技), and XinYong Technology (心永科技) .
