Sainuo Bio (赛纳生物) is a Chinese gene sequencing technology company founded in 2015, led by CEO Dr. Zitian Chen . The company has developed its own next-generation sequencing (NGS) instruments based on proprietary Fluorogenic fluorescence-activated sequencing chemistry and ECC error-correction encoding sequencing patents, positioning itself as a domestic alternative in a field historically dominated by foreign players . Its product lineup includes the S-series and P-series sequencers: the S100 received both EU CE-IVDR certification and China's NMPA clinical approval in February 2024, while the S200 is deployed for pathogen genome sequencing and infectious disease tracing, and the P1000/P1000X platforms cover throughput ranges from 0.3Tb to 40Tb per run .

The company has raised multiple rounds from prominent Chinese investors. In March 2023, it closed a Series C+ round of several hundred million RMB led by Source Code Capital, with participation from CCB Equity, Beijing E-Town International Investment & Development, Founder H Fund, and Hetang Venture Capital . In October 2025, it announced a new funding round exceeding 100 million RMB led by Shunxi Fund and Beijing E-Town International Investment & Development . Chen has stated the company will channel these resources into R&D, domestic supply chain autonomy for sequencers and reagents, and expanding clinical access to genetic testing .
