School of Computer Science Peking University

The School of Computer Science at Peking University was formally established as an independent college on October 24, 2021, upgrading the university's computer science program from a department to a standalone school . Yang Fuqing, a professor at Peking University and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was appointed as its honorary dean . The school's creation drew industry support, with Gaorong Ventures making a donation to back its educational mission . It has since served as an academic base for researchers who went on to found notable startups: Wang He, co-founder of a robotics AI company, previously taught there after earning his PhD at Stanford , while Chen Fangping founded drone intelligence firm Clointelligence during his combined master's-PhD studies at the school in 2017 .
