Yafeng Niu is a Chinese hardware entrepreneur and the founder of Dail Technology (戴乐科技), a Shenzhen-based smart musical instrument company he started in 2016 at age 23 . Born in 1993 in Luoyang, Henan, Niu studied engineering and began tinkering with electronics in college, eventually developing a smart guitar project for a startup competition that won ¥150,000 in funding and launched his decade-long career .

His company, operating under the brand AeroBand (空气乐队), produces intelligent guitars and electronic drum kits designed to lower the barrier to music-making through technology and digitalization . Niu relocated the company from Beijing to Shenzhen to access manufacturing efficiency, growing the team from a handful of people to nearly 200 .
