Yida Capital

YiDa Capital (易达资本) is a China-based investment fund positioned as a bridge between Asian resources and the Middle East, with Saudi Arabia as its anchor market. It was among the earlier Chinese institutions to establish a presence in the region, arriving roughly five to six years ago and securing backing from Saudi government entities . Its distinctive model, as 暗涌Waves described it, is to be "rooted in the Middle East" rather than treating the region merely as a source of capital .

The fund's anchor LP is Jada, the fund-of-funds arm of Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund PIF. Jada served as cornerstone investor for YiDa's $400 million first fund and committed anchor capital to its second dollar fund, which targeted $1 billion and was expected to close in early 2024 . Among its disclosed investments is J&T Express, the logistics group, which YiDa backed alongside Middle Eastern consortiums in a financing round of tens of millions of dollars to strengthen the latter's Middle East and North Africa operations . YiDa Capital's founder and managing partner is Jerry Li .
