China's First Low-Orbit Broadband Communications Satellite with 10 Gbps Transmission Capability Successfully Launched
At 11:02 AM on January 16, 2020, China successfully launched its first low-orbit broadband communications satellite with a communications capacity of 10 Gbps — the GalaxySpace maiden satellite — from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center using a Kuaizhou-1A carrier rocket. The satellite entered its predetermined orbit and the mission was a complete success.
Source Code Capital participated in the investment starting from the Pre-A round and has continued to support subsequent financing rounds.

At 12:36 PM, the GalaxySpace maiden satellite received its first orbit of telemetry data, its solar panels deployed, and all systems were functioning normally.

The GalaxySpace maiden satellite is a low-orbit broadband communications satellite independently developed by GalaxySpace. It operates in Q/V and Ka communication frequency bands, with transparent forwarding communications capabilities at 10 Gbps, and can provide broadband communications services to users via satellite terminals. After entering orbit, the satellite will conduct relevant technology and service verification.
