Smart glasses maker INMO closes C1 round, its third in a year | Unity Ventures portfolio news
Total funding raised: nearly 500 million yuan
Unity Ventures portfolio company INMO announced today that it has completed its Series C1 funding round, with participation from Chengdu Technology Innovation Investment Group, Shenzhen Nanshan Strategic Emerging Industry Investment, and Pufeng Capital, at a valuation of 2 billion yuan.
With this round, INMO has closed three consecutive funding rounds — Series B2, B3, and C1 — within a single year, raising nearly 500 million yuan in total, making it one of the most frequently funded and most closely watched companies in the AI + AR smart glasses sector.

Pioneer of the All-in-One AI + AR Smart Glasses Category
Founded in 2020, INMO was among the earliest entrants into China's AI glasses race. In 2022, it launched INMO AIR, the country's first wireless all-in-one AR smart glasses, pushing binocular full-color integrated AR glasses into mass production. In 2023, it released INMO GO, the world's first AI glasses, targeting high-frequency use cases like translation, teleprompting, and meeting assistance. In 2024, INMO GO2 broke through on the back of its translation features.
In 2025, INMO unveiled its dual-flagship lineup: INMO AIR3 and INMO GO3. INMO AIR3 became the world's first mass-produced 1080P all-in-one AI + AR glasses, selling out immediately upon its JD.com debut.
At its technical core, INMO relies on its self-developed IMOS spatial operating system and arrayed light waveguide technology. INMO GO3 integrates Zhipu AI's GLM large model to power AI features such as "Conversation Genie." INMO AIR3 enables voice-controlled gestures like swiping and returning, plus context-aware automated commands that span calling up music apps, sending Lark messages, ordering Meituan takeout, and shopping on Taobao — weaving AI into everyday workflows.
On the ecosystem front, beyond its deep partnership with Zhipu AI, INMO has also established collaborations with China Mobile, Ant Group, Tencent MyApp, and Amap, among other industry players.

Channels and Markets in Full Expansion, Global Acceleration
INMO GO3 surpassed 20,000 orders across all channels within three days of launch, topping JD.com's smart glasses bestseller list. The GO series commands a 90% market share in the translation glasses segment. On the offline front, INMO has ramped up investment, partnering with LOHO, EssilorLuxottica, and Asia Optical to roll out experience stores — laying groundwork for mass-market adoption.
Globally, China leads in both brand count and product iteration speed within the AI glasses market. At CES 2026, which just concluded, Chinese AI glasses emerged as a focal point. INMO showcased its flagship models at the event, winning multiple awards including "Best of Application Innovation CES 2026" from the World AI Glasses Alliance and ShowStoppers.

INMO is now accelerating its global push in earnest. After launching on overseas crowdfunding platforms in October 2025, INMO AIR3 quickly broke $1 million and earned endorsements from multiple YouTube tech creators with tens of millions of subscribers.
Going forward, INMO will sequentially release global versions of INMO GO3, INMO X, and an upgraded INMO AIR3, covering different price tiers and use cases. On channels, it will continue its online-plus-offline approach: deepening its presence on Amazon and its official direct-to-consumer site online, while focusing offline on North America, Japan, and Europe through regional distribution and localized experiences to nail the overseas purchase journey.
Looking back at INMO's trajectory, it's a classic "long-distance runner." While many competitors were still weighing strategic options, INMO chose to grind away at the deep-tech challenge of "light waveguide all-in-one devices plus AI" — carving out a differentiated path to breakthrough.
