Momenta and BMW Collaborate to Redefine the New-Era BMW iX3 | Unity Ventures Portfolio
In the future, this solution will be deployed across multiple BMW models.
This July, Unity Ventures portfolio company Momenta and BMW Group announced a formal partnership focused on the cutting edge of intelligent driving assistance. The two parties will jointly develop a next-generation intelligent driving assistance solution tailored for the China market, bringing Chinese consumers full-scenario navigation-assisted driving capabilities better suited to local travel conditions, covering both highway and urban road scenarios. Momenta recently announced that this intelligent driving assistance system will debut on the locally produced new-generation BMW iX3, with mass production and market launch planned for 2026.

Currently, Momenta and BMW's R&D teams are conducting on-site development and testing across four major bases in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenyang, and Nanjing. Both parties strictly adhere to BMW Group's rigorous validation standards, carrying out large-scale real-vehicle testing that covers high-frequency scenarios with dense traffic as well as more challenging extreme conditions. This is combined with over 100 million kilometers of simulated testing to continuously verify system stability and reliability.

The system is built on Momenta's end-to-end flywheel large model, adopting an integrated "perception-planning-control" architecture that fuses ultra-large-scale neural networks for environmental perception, path planning, and high-precision vehicle control, enabling highly intelligent driving strategies.
Combining Momenta's AI algorithms and data-driven capabilities with BMW's deep expertise in safety, driver-centric human-machine interaction, and driving strategy, the vehicle can understand complex road conditions and make decisions and controls in a manner similar to a human driver, improving adaptability to dynamic environments.
The locally produced new-generation BMW iX3 is expected to enter production at BMW Brilliance's Shenyang manufacturing base in 2026, with its global debut and official launch in the same year, becoming the first vehicle equipped with Momenta's intelligent driving assistance system.
Going forward, this solution will be applied to multiple models including the locally produced new-generation BMW iX3. Momenta will continue working with BMW to accelerate the deployment of intelligent driving assistance solutions in China.
